This is the best dimmer I have bought yet!A rare quality find!It is:Simple to installSimple to use.Is in an attractive white color which is helpful as it is visible on a night stand.Solidly builtReliably functional.Has held up through many accidental drops and preventative covid disinfections.Has a quiet and smooth dial.Affordable.Has a beautiful range of dimming ability. The lowest level is perfect for nightlight or to not disturb anyone.Would unreservedly buy this product again. Thanks so much to the manufacturers and distributors!

I originally bought these hoping they would work with my grow station fluorescent lights, but they won't work with them because of the type of fluorescent lights it has. They do work great with my two table lamps though, so still a win.

PROS:- The slide switch is very smooth and quiet- No “jumps” in light dimming- Nice long 6.6 ft. cord on the dimmer control- Easy to install – just plug it inCONS:- No clear disconnect “click” when turned off, so possibly uses a trickle of power even when off- Must use an adapter if lamp plug is 3-prong- Sticks out from wall several inches -- 1.5 in. power plug plus potential adapter plus lamp plug- Must use power strip if controlling more than one small lampEven with the above caveats, I'd buy it again.UPDATE:***Now that the slider switch is getting "broken in," I can tell that it does indeed have an off "click" that reassures me it's completely turned off and not wasting a "trickle" of power when off.

I originally bought this to dim a rope light but it wouldn't dim the light correctly so I decided to try it on my bedroom light and it works great.

Had one similar that lasted for more than ten years. This one is almost the same just missing a spy on/off led but it works as the first one, sliding on thru off very smooth. Good product!

This is plug in lamp dimmer switch suitable for LED or incandescent lights.It says CFL lights as well but I didn’t have one of those handy so can’t say how well it works with those. However, otherwise, this is something that really makes a difference in your home decor.I bought a pair of electric hurricane lamps with a marble base that is 40s to 50s vintage. These are the kind with the smaller shades and is possible to hang crystals on it. I bought crystals and needed to buy new felt for the bottom. I had a few incandescent teardrop shaped bulbs that were white.Just the pair sitting there looks great with the old-style knotty pine paneling in much of the house. But when I paired it with this dimmer switch, it went from looking great to absolutely fantastic. Because it’s dimmed, the white tear drop bulbs show up through the frosted glass. I leave it on all the time at the lowest setting and it makes quite a statement.I don’t think anyone’s mentioned this but this is a mechanical dimmer switch. The advantage of being mechanical over electronic is there’s less to go wrong. And, if the power goes off, when it comes back on, the lamp lights at the chosen setting.The only change I made was adding a three-outlet plug adapter on the end as I have it going to a pair of lamps. The switch sits in the back largely unnoticed.These types of lamps are perfect to pair up on a fireplace mantle, a buffet, on top of a china cabinet or wherever your imagination takes you. The cord is long enough but not too long to be a problem.Given the fact this is a mechanical switch, I feel it’ very reasonably priced and very subtly will enhance your room’s lighting effects.

Bought the two pack. One is still going strong, works well, dimming is smooth. The other one died after a couple months.

Perfect to make old lamps dimmable!I got this because I had a three-way vintage flower lamp that let you select between: 1. 2/4 flowers, 2. The other 2/4 flowers, or 3. All 4 flowersThe light is ABSURDLY bright with modern LED bulbs to the point of being unusable. I wanted to see if it was possible to retrofit a dimmer switch or find something I could drop in, but it was looking almost impossible to find a dimmer switch that was also brass to preserve the look of the lamp.The dimmer portion itself works great, but it sticking out such a long ways is a little awkward. Either way, it let me make my old lamp infinitely more useful and pretty by allowing me to dim it in any setting of bulbs! Highly recommend if you have a similar problem that you want to fix.
