Originally developed for elite athletes in the usa in 2001, pickle juice sport and extra strength pickle juice shots is the only 100% natural, purpose built isotonic sports drink in the world proven to stop and prevent muscle cramps. Pickle juice products address muscle cramping at the root source - the nerve which is why these products work better and quicker than anything else on the market. Take at the point of cramping or as soon as the warning signs prevent themselves and feel the symptoms go away within a minute. Cramps will stay at bay for 45-60 minutes after consuming at least 10ml per 10kg of body weight. Note, this is not pickle brine from a jar nor does it have anything to do with pickles, it is made from scratch and shares only a similar flavor to pickle brine. Review: Disappointed. It works ok for cramps but it is really weak compared to the shot size bottles which have gotten ridiculously expensive. Review: My wife keeps this on hand for the occasional bout of leg cramps… it helps because of the vinegar. Keep it in the refrigerator, a little easier to drink when cold.

I work on our 4 acre property daily, usually during weed season. Like now! After a few hours in the sun, I perspire profusely. I drink 3 liters of alkaline/electrolyte water while working; no sweetener...just H2O. I usually drink 2 bottles of this bottled brine prior to aggressive outdoor working. More often than not, in the middle of the night, I am awakened by honorific leg, calf and thigh cramps! If you ever experienced that type of pain, you know from whence I speak. We purchased these pickle juice bottles to help combat that pain. It has not diminished the severity nor the time in pain much, I must say. A hot "herb bag" has proven more effective in combating the pain than this pickle juice, from my experience. Recently, we have purchased pickle "slices" in a jar. There is a lot of brine in these jars. As a last resort, one early morning I took several sips of this brine while experiencing these terrible cramps and, much to my amazement, they pain in my legs diminished; so much so that i was able to return to bed and get some much needed sleep very soon thereafter. My conclusion? I feel that these pickle brine bottles have a much less concentration of pickle brine than the brine in the sliced pickle jar. I have no basis of fact to confirm this, other than my own experience. Your experience may vary considerably. This brine may suffice for lesser aggressive forms of activity. However, if you work out strenuously, like I do for hours at a time, you may need to reconsider the amount and the saline concentration of pickle juice you require, as each physiology has different requirements. Just my $0.03 worth...adjusted for inflation
