NOTE: I ordered the Yellow Coconut Curry flavored pouches, so that's the flavor I'm reviewing here.I got this for my husband, who loves curry and cinnamon and high protein foods. I didn't even want to smell it -- let alone taste it -- because curry, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, turmeric, and things like that are nearly always too strong for me to enjoy.He prepared some for himself and announced that he loved it, and that I should have a bite. Since I didn't really smell anything wafting out of the kitchen, I decided I'd go ahead and try a little. I was very surprised to find that it didn't offend my taste buds at all! I could definitely taste the cinnamon, but it wasn't too overwhelming for me.Wow! What a shock!It's also filling. He ate half of it and was full. That rarely happens with him. He ate the other half a few hours later.That leads me to consider the value of these meals. For 7 of them, at about $29 when I ordered, they come out to just over $4 each. The thing is, each bag makes more than you expect, and with 25g of Protein per pouch, they can be either a meal alone or a side dish, or mixed in with other foods you like.Each pouch could conceivably feed two people, which makes the purchase a better value when you look at it like that. They can be enjoyed by vegans and carnivores alike. They can be taken to work or camping or school, as long as you have access to boiled water and a separate bowl or cup, they're convenient that way. Our batch expires 7 months from when we received them, so they're not going into my emergency supplies, but I don't know when they were made.I'm giving these a strong 4 stars. I'm amazed that I liked it, and there is a lot of good things about these meals that make them a better value than I initially thought.

I'm giving these 5 stars because they are a good option if you're looking for healthier meals and it's very easy to make. I added water and stirred it up a bit before microwaving to ensure everything was properly suspended in the water, past that following the directions had great results.As far as taste, if you dislike peas you probably won't like this very much as you can taste the pea protein. For me, this was actually pretty good, it's got a bit of kick to it and I like peas so that was fine. Texture was pretty good as well to me; the water and seasoning thickens into a sauce and the noodles were soft but not mushy. I'm not sure what the bigger chunks are, I believe it's the pea and faba bean textured protein, but they didn't really add much of a texture to this and did not bother me.Overall, while I wouldn't eat this for every meal, I like to have it as an option, I likely don't get all the vitamins and minerals I need and imagine this is a better way of getting important nutrients vs multivitamins.

I was so excited about these meals because I needed something for an upcoming trip but have food allergies that make it very difficult to eat out while traveling.Unfortunately the ingredients changed, an allergen for me was added. The screenshot of the ingredients in the listing was not updated.Amazon reimbursed me and I will give the product away to a friend. If your looking for something to with high protein and no soy this looks like a good option....but I will never know

Big fan of Huel and was excited to see their new offerings. I would recommend that the Huel meal cup be purchased as the best results came when using that. I tried to follow the boiling water method however the immediate loss in heat from the transfer to a bowl had me microwaving this soon after. I had planned to take these with me camping as they are a lightweight item, packed full of nutrients however until I can better figure out a way to cook them in the wilderness I will have to wait.A quick look at the nutrition facts will tell you all there is to know about what a great choice for a meal this is. Vegan, loaded with mushrooms and other micronutrients. The taste is remarkable— earthy but only because it’s supposed to. The wild mushroom flavor is definitely prominent but not overpowering. The pasta was tender and the sauce was delightful. I like that you can add water to adjust the sauciness level. One packet left me very full and even better, this was very easy to digest. Often times these dehydrated or micronutrient rich meals will do a number on anyone’s GI tract and that was not the case here.

Really delicious ramen, love how portable it is. It's a great deal for how many you get. It was ready to eat in under ten minutes (mind you half of that time is just waiting for it not to be too hot!)

Wow this really surpassed my expectations! It is so delish. Packed with protein and such a good amount of fiber. I can’t get over how tasty this flavor is. Such a quick easy lunch on the go! Takes the guess work and meal planning out of lunch.

I have a fairly busy lifestyle, and from time to time I will find myself rummaging around for some food to eat. Typically during times like this I don't want to cook and just want a quick meal.This is a good and healthy solution during times like this - boil some water, stir into a bowl, wait 5 minutes and then its ready to eat. It doesn't get much easier than this.Looking through the ingredients, and seeing all the vitamins and micronutrients it seems that there is a lot included to help me stay healthy. It is also low in sugar which is a very nice thing to see.As for the food being vegan, it does taste pretty good overall. If you like a bit of a crunchy texture you can add less water (or wait a little less time before eating). The Cajun pasta does have a lot of flavors overall, but really wasn't spicy (hot sauce helps here if you want to kick it up a notch).Eating it for lunch was good, as I was not hungry again for around 5-6 hours later. I also find eating some low calorie food later at night when I miss dinner, keeps me from snacking before bed.I did enjoy the food more than expected and will certainly try some more in the future.
