Excellent quality and easy to install for average owner
Excellent quality hitch, nice functionality and clean design. Well packaged with clear, easy understandable instructions. Takes an hour to install by yourself or 30 minutes with a helper. Need a floor Jack, air die grinder (or a dremel with a carbide grinder) to notch frame, 11/16 socket ,extension and a (really) torque wrench. The included bolt fishing wires do work but everything must be aligned perfectly. But that is rare, so exercise much patience and it will go in. Exceptional quality product nonetheless.

Very few steps...
Stated a 15 minute installation. If you haven’t done it before, expect 90, mostly because it was a very snug fit, and this caused the pull wire to get trapped between the frame and the product. Spent about 30 minutes just trying to get one bolt through the hole; wire broke but enough was left for me to complete the installation. Instructions were good, though... Installation suggestion - some form of flat plastic “V” clip that could be used to keep the bolt exposed while the pull wire was removed and the washer and nut were put on. Might reduce anxiety over losing the bolt in the frame by a novice installer... My reservations are around how it was delivered. It was in essentially a thick plastic bag that was torn open in three places... I’m going to attribute that to the carrier... this is not the first time I have encountered a heavy delivery where the package looked like it Was pushed down the stairs.

Fast shipping, easy installation.
Bought this a year ago, and have logged 700 miles of towing a small utility trailer, no problems. Easy installation. The entire tow hitch sits 1” lower than the mufflers, be careful when backing into a parking spot. Word of warning: the instructions were not very clear about how to attach the bolt to the fishing wire, and run the bolt through the frame; had to consult YouTube. DO NOT damage the fishing wire’s coiled end to thread the bolt into, it makes installation 1000% more difficult. Not a reflection on the product quality; but my own brickhead mistake, in which I use as a learning opportunity for all.

A good fit
Was easy to install but had some difficulty with removal of trim and tail lights. Plan on taking at least 2-21/2 hours to install properly. Additional help is recommended!

Easy install with limited knowledge.
Easy to install. I had my wife lift the other side while I pulled the bolts out through the hitch. I didn't allow the bolts to fall through back into the frame but if you did would make this a pain in the butt. Looks great. Came with the powder coating chipped off in a couple of spots, but nothing a can of spray paint can't fix

Decent Receiver, Bad Shipping
Decent receiver and easy to install. Problem was getting it here. Shipper literally put a shipping label on it, no other packaging or box. It arrived cosmetically *trashed* after cross-country transit.. Seriously it'll need to be repainted.

Would buy again
It was a perfect fit. Installed in 20 minutes. Here are a couple tips. 1. The instructions recommend making the access holes larger to get the carriage bolts through. Instead grind about 3/16" off 2 opposite sides on the bolt heads making them narrow enough to pass through the access hole in the frame. 2. Install the front bolts first as the cars frame has slotted hold in front. This helps support the hitch while you slide things around to get the back bolts in.

Fit great on the Escape
Install went fairly easily. Rather than bent or open the holes up on the vehicle, I ground a very slight flat on the head of the carriage bolts. This enabled the bolt to slip through the hole. Much better and easier then modifying the vehicle.

First time installing car hitch and had no issues. Tied down on floor jack had to angle hitch to pass stabilizer bar on passenger but was able to install it on my own. It had a little paint chipped off from shipping, worked it out with seller so I could purchase some touch up paint. Seller is excellent.

The hitch arrived with a lot of damage to the paint and when it came to installing the hitch I had to use a chisel to pry between the frame in the hitch because it was bent. Overall the hitch looks good but very dissatisfied with the condition it arrived. When it came to actually installing the hitch it was very easy with the system they have.
