Be prepared and you're good!
PROS: thick, very sticky, way better than my old counters CONS: awkward width/produces lots of seams, light blue-ish, gray cast/not true white Most of the negative reivews seem to stem from user error IMO. Yeah, it's contact paper and creases but that's what contact paper does. Use the Windex method (Google it or like you'd put on window privacy film if you're familiar) FOR SURE. once this stuff is stuck down it's hard to budge. 4 hands is also better than 2. I used it on my bathroom counters and it's obviously not marble, but it looks a hell of a lot better than before! The seams bug me, bc my counters were 27" wide, so I opted for one long horizontal seam instead of a bunch of vertical ones. It's not a dealbreaker though. It's also not a true white. All in all I love it for a 2 hour $16 fix!

Realistic look out of the box—didn’t test adhesion
The pattern and color match the photos and the roll arrived in good shape. I ended up giving it away before installing, so I can’t speak to the peel-and-stick adhesion, bubble release, or durability on countertops/backsplash. The 15.7” width seems practical for straight runs and the grid backing should help with cuts, but I didn’t test it on a surface.

Thick, Sticks Nice
This stuff works great. It's good quality and thick (like DC Fix); this isn't your typical cheap contact paper. It was really nice that it came with a trimmer and smoother, too. The adhesive works well; I had to peel up a section I messed up from plywood, and it lifted some of the wood when I did. Just make sure you use the smoother to stick it down well. If I still lived in a rental, I'd even use this to cover the counters if they were ugly. I'd just double up on it for added thickness. I wish they sold plain white because I have some kitchen pantry shelves this would work great on. Very pleased with this, and would use ot again.

It barely okay.
First, the thing that I like is the marbling. It is not overly done and looks. nice. Now, for the things that I do not like. I purchased this to cover a vent hood that I could only get in stainless steel that does not look great above my white stove. As mentioned, the marbling looks great but I dislike how glossy this paper is. Is it sticky, yep it will stick to itself and other surfaces. I minimized its desire to stick to itself by heating it with a blowdry to get the curls out before applying. Is it durable? Absolutely not. I popped holes/ripped it with my nails. One time, I was simply running my finger over it to find bubbles and it ripped. It also does not stick great on corners but this is common for inexpensive contact paper. I am going to leave it on my vent hood for now but I plan to spend a bit more money and get a different brand that is more durable and less shiny. I am glad I was able to use this inexpensive brand to test the look.

Craft Desk Worthy - Read TIPS below.
If you are like me, and you suffer from having to buy a new IKEA desk top because you damage it with either glue, paint, ink or because you dropped a paper punch or scissors and now you have chips flying off your surface, then you will be smart to cover instead of paying for new table tops. I did this on a whim. I'm on a serious tight budget and did not want to dish out another $50 for a new top. So I paid $18 for 2 rolls and boy did it do wonders. I took photos of hubby applying it. Since he works for vending games, he knew to first measure your surface and precut a your sheet. Unroll and lay flat. Line up to one edge first. Leave room to go OVER the edge (because you will cut that off anyway). The one tip that I thought was surprising was to use either a glass cleaner or windex or clear spray to soften the vinyl as you are stretching and adhering it to the surface. You pull a little of the backing off and then lay it down and use a credit card or something with a straight hard edge to "scrape" the vinyl down after you spray it. This softens the vinyl and helps to relax the material to be formed into it's new shape (FLAT)... because it came in a rolled state. After you cover the surface, go back with a cutting knife or craft knife and easily cut the excess along the edge of the surface. It takes long because you want to be precise, but it looks fabulous. (I will add photos later). One last tip. If you find bubbles (even after all that effort), you can use the tip of your craft knife to gently make a teeny tiny hole in the bubble. This will allow for air to escape as you press down and smooth out the bubble. Works EVERYTIME! I hope this helps!

Not beginner DIY friendly
I wanted to use this in my bathroom for the countertop. The surface is not even and was previously poorly refinished by the previous owners. Unless your surface is completely flat with no abnormalities in it at all the product bubbles and crinkles. It’s hard to apply when you attempt to do it over a large surface and constantly tries to reroll itself back up. I tried bending it carefully to get out the roll in it to make it easier to work with and it just creased or totally ripped. I would not recommend this product and it is not a single person friendly product. It may have been easier with another person to hold.

I’ve used similar products before but this one was superior. Went on really easy, no bubbles and looks great. Friends were blown away with how it looks.
