this stuff is Awsum, i have gerd, bad. sometimes it comes out of my nose while i'm asleep. tastes good, it's not candy🤣

This product really helped me through a tough time with stomach issues. I used it for 3 weeks. I since have begun a dietary change of improving my intake of acidic drinks and foods to insure that my stomach has a more alkaline environment daily.

A friend recommended this to me and it's amazing! Check the package carefully and look for the bottle with the person pushing a fluffy cloud over their stomach acid--that's how this works. As soon as you start chewing you can feel the 'fizz' that keeps stomach acid from turning into acid reflux. It really works! Yes, it is more expensive than Tums or Rolaids (and I've never found it in retail stores in the US) but for all the times I've woken up at 1:45am swearing I'd pay $100 for the pain to go away this Gavisconis worth every penny. HIGHLY recommend it!

It works but too foamy which we're not used to. Still prefer the liquid over these tabs. Also costs too much.

Tastes good. Does the job. Like the ingredients. Rarely find on the store shelves cause it’s cheaper and more profitable to have you take an “acid reflux” pill or some other chemical such as aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, simethicone, Calcium carbonate or magnesium hydroxide.

I love this product! I have Silent Acid Reflux and this has helped me heal my throat. The Sodium Alginate in the product acts like a barrier to keep the acid from going up into my throat. It is easy to chew. The taste is fine. It gets a little stuck in my teeth, but I wash it down with some water and I'm good to go to bed. Life changer! This is specifically for the Canadian version of Gaviscon. If you live in the USA, the Gaviscon does not have the Sodium Alginate in it.

The American version has aluminum and not even close to the same amount of alginic acid. This one actually foams and floats to the top like it's supposed to. My gastritis has gotten under control, now my gerd and esophagitis bother me the most. This is the only thing that consistently works to stop the uncomfortable feeling quickly and helps with morning pain when taken before bed. The cost is pretty prohibitive to me but so isn't the pain, I'm just glad something works. You can apparently make your own with sodium alginate, but I tried it and it doesn't foam up like this does, so it does not work as well. This foams up at least 5 times more than the crappy American version. Vital to creating the barrier, the whole point of this product. Smaller tablets are fine with me because I need the minimum effective dose anyway with this price.

Gaviscon has been a staple in my home for decades because it consistently works for so many upper gastrointestinal upsets, including heartburn and a generally queasy stomach. Both the fruit and butterscotch flavours are very pleasant, as are their texture. The tablets are easy to chew and swallow, and the foaming and coating action is evident immediately. The combination of alginic acid and bicarbonate are said to create a protective barrier that prevents stomach acid from refluxing back up into the esophagus. My friend began taking these for severe GERD (gastro-intestinal reflux disease) in the late 1980’s and swore by them as its most effective treatment, and even more so, he said, than the prescribed proton pump inhibitors he'd been taking for years. The expiry date printed on the last bottle I purchased in March 2025 is June 2026, which is very reasonable. As with many other OTC (over the counter) preparations taken on a regular basis, buying this one in the larger size is the most economical, although it really depends on how often you take them. I like the Regular Strength versus the Extra Strength because of the flexibility it offers in dosing. I will occasionally take two if the symptoms are particularly severe; otherwise, one regular strength is completely effective. It's important to follow the instructions on the bottle, though, and always be mindful of any drug, herb or supplement interaction. I've heard it may cause mild constipation at higher doses, but to date, this has not been my experience. Amazon's price is fair, and the very best anywhere when it’s on sale. And, for the last four times I’ve ordered it, both the stamped expiry dates and the delivery times were exceptional.

Had horrible heartburn when this delivery showed up took one right away. Ok it a little weird at first it foams up in your mouth but let me tell you instant relief. I could not believe it thought it was temporary but hours later I’m still good. I have suffered with acid reflux for years and take medication everyday. This stuff is a game changer
