I am revising my already five star recommendation, upward. After owning it for a while I notice that this kettle heats much more quickly than my previous ones did, and the fact that the lid opens farther makes it easier to fill with water. I’ve had pots that were designed so that if you try to get the lid open enough, it breaks off. Also - I was a bit wary of the high rating this product has, because mine came with the prompt to write a review, and said I was randomly selected to receive an additional free product, a glass teapot with a tea filter.In the first place, I thought it was borderline unethical to raise your amazon ratings and visibility by getting so many people to review it and then offer them teapots. In the second place, I noticed that a couple of other people (maybe from a competing brand?) wrote they had been offered a teapot, but never received it.However, my teapot did come, and I love that too - it is wonderful and I would give that 5 stars if it weren’t a free perk. I put a piece of ginger in there, boil up my water and I’m off to the races.Here’s my original review:This is a nice electric kettle that boils water quickly and has an attractive blue LED lighting. I like that the lid opens wide enough for cleaning and easy filling, and that the kettle is removable from the base, so that it could be used as a teapot if desired. I drink lots of herbal tea throughout the day, so an electric kettle is a cosy addition to the kitchen. There is an automatic shutoff as a safety measure.

Purchased this kettle about a month ago after our previous one (different brand) malfunctioned. It wouldn't turn off all the way. Very disconcerting. After a ton of research, we purchased this model as a replacement. Thus far, I am very happy.On an average day, we will run this kettle probably 10 times. Per run, we boil anywhere from 2 to 6 cups of water. When we first got it we filled it to capacity (after washing w/ soap) and timed how long it took to reach a boil. 1.7 L of cold water hit a rolling boil in just 6 minutes and 47 seconds. I love that both metric and imperial measurements are on the glass on both sides (handy for right and left handed folks).The blue light is both attractive and handy for getting a visual cue that the kettle is done. The clear glass is true glass. It does get quite hot, but the handle of the kettle is large and feels good in my hand when I pick it up and pour. I never need to brace with my other hand so the hot glass hasn't been a problem. The glass is as shatter proof as the glass of any coffee pot, but glass has its limits. If you just boiled water in it, I wouldn't recommend running cold water into it. You'd be inviting trouble.The lid of the kettle opens nice and wide for filling from the sink. That said, spouse has bigger hands than I do and can comfortably get his hand into the kettle to wipe down the inside. Be aware of that. As I watch the water heat, it looks like pretty uniform distribution of the heat throughout the solid metallic bottom. We keep our kettle unplugged from the outlet when we're not actively heating water for the sake of best practices. I have felt the underside of the kettle immediately after water boiled, it's warm but not hot. Safe to put down on the bare counter w/o fear of scorching the countertop.A few folks here have mentioned spots forming on the bottom of their kettles that made them nervous. We saw those, too, just a few days after we got it. Like I said, we use our kettle a LOT every single day. Can't speak to others, but our spots looked identical to those shown in some of the customer photos posted. Ours are hard water spots. Same as the spots that show up on our plates and glasses when we put them through the dishwasher. I quick wipe down with white vinegar got rid of the spots immediately.Hope folks found this review helpful. I'm very comfortable recommending this product.

I bought this as my old electric kettle began leaking for some reason. I received my order promptly and it was well-packaged. The QueenSense electric kettle is a beautiful, high quality product. I love that the pot is glass and you can see it working. When turned on it lights with a blue light that shuts off when the water reaches boiling, and you can see the water boiling inside the pot. The water boils very quickly and the pot is also easy to clean. It is separate from the base that is plugged in, so is also portable for ease of use and cleaning. This is an excellent product with great customer service, I highly recommend it, thank you!

I would comment on this water boiler in an objective view and divided them into several sections:First, the water boiler is well protected when I open the package, which can be shown on the photos uploaded. The time for delivery is kind of fast and I appreciate it.The look of this water boiler is already very good and the designer enhanced its appearance by also adding blue LED lights to it when it is boiling water. This is a pretty clever action that people will be more informed when the water is ready to drink. (The LED will automatically turn off when the water is boiled.) Also, the handle of this water boiler is easy to hold and quite strong and makes the water boiler easy to control when water is reaching the maximum level.The water boiling time is within 6 minutes for 6 cups of water, which is pretty fast. And it is really enjoyable to see the bubbles coming out from the water through the glass. One thing to mention is that the water cannot contact the plastic surface during the boiling and the lip's plastic is made with a pretty safe material.For the drawbacks, it is really hard to tell. Although the shape of the mouth of the water boiler is not totally uniform if you observe it carefully, however, it will not affect you polling the water out.Overall, I would fully recommend this water boiler as it is really the optimal choice in Amazon.
