No more stuck jar lids! Awesome tool, just be careful: once wet paint is on it, it's a hair triggered paint splattering tool
This is incredible, it mixes up 20 year old testors paints like a champ! And best of all, no more stupid shaking jars which not only fails to mix heavy pigment clumps stuck to the bottom of the jar, but also gets paint stuck on the bottom of the lid, gluing the lid shut for next time, and causing dried paint to fall back into the jar potentially clogging your airbrush next time. This thing is just great and works perfectly. It really packs a punch! It's so satisfying, I get a smile every time I use it because I know its just obliterating all the clumps of paint pigment at the bottom of the jar! I was also impressed how well balanced it spins, considering the length of the snout and the way the shaft just press fits directly to the motor shaft. It actually balances out with motor RPM. (Although I'm sure if it got bent, it would be violently unbalanced.) Best of all, there's no splashing (as long as you follow the directions and be careful to never spin it when not submerged! I managed to splatter paint all over my workspace once when I accidentally hit the trigger setting it down after I had just mixed a jar of paint and needed 2 hands to screw the lid on... When that happens it splatters paint in 360 degrees and further than you want!) The only downsides are: 1. Its kind of long and cumbersome to store when not in use, but the shaft used a metal on metal friction press fit, so I don't feel comfortable removing and reinstalling the shaft each time I use it as I fear it would become looser over time. It doesn't fit back in the box when assembled, and setting it down is somewhat liable to depress the trigger. Unless you want to pop the batteries in and out after every use. All in all not a big deal. 2. Once it has wet paint on it, as soon as you remove it from the jar, it's a hair trigger handheld paint splatter disaster waiting to happen.. 3. The head of the tool (the metal 6 point star that actually does the mixing) is kind of a weird shaped metal piece stamped/clamped onto the end of the shaft, with a few little crevices for paint to hide in after mixing. This makes it hard to ever be certain you've gotten 100% of the paint cleaned off so you don't contaminate the next jar. What I do after use is to VERY CAREFULLY (cautious to not trigger it!) move it to point down inside a wastebasket with a disposable plastic bag lining, and spin it, which will launch virtually all the paint onto the walls of your wastebasket. Then stick it into a jar of thinner and spin it to clean the rest, finished with a final wipe on white paper towel to visually verify no paint remains. Excellent value. Highly recommended to any modeler, you will shake your head at the idea of shaking jars once you use this.

A life saver for mixing model paints.
I've been building models for years and always used toothpicks to stir paint. This thing is so awesome, works awesome and I now know my paint is mixed so much better.

Great product but watch your finger near the trigger!!
I ordered this because I am trying to reconstitute some old Citadel paints that I got for free off a Facebook auction. Most of the paints were completely dried and really "plasticy". I tried a few testers just using Matte Medium and water and got 2 of out 6 in good condition. The rest were gritty. I got this to blend out the fine grits my tiny mortar and pestle could not. It works WAY better than I had hopes for! The biggest on really only gripe I have is that you really have to have finger discipline on the trigger on this because it comes on SOOO easy by the slightest accidental touch and will splatter paint finely everywhere. Once I figured out how to actually hold it where that did not happen anymore but it took a few "WTF?!!?'s" to get it just right. I took off a star just for that but otherwise I would recommend it in a heartbeat for blending old miniature paints.

Nifty little paint stirrer
I ordered a Badger Air-Brush Co. 121 Paint Mixer on a whim. I have mixed small bottles of paint by hand for 60 years. It was always a bit messy and I wasn't really sure I had all the pigment uniformly mixed in. I have had this mixer for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. It quickly mixes the paint thoroughly. I use mostly Tamiya paints in 10 and 23cc bottles and it works excellently in both. Battery-power makes it easy to handle. The on/off switch is well-placed so I can hold and operate the stirrer in one hand and the paint bottle in the other. As advised in the instructions, do not turn it on until it is well into the paint bottle. Likewise, do not pull it out of the bottle until it has stopped spinning. Otherwise it would throw paint over a fairly large area. Clean-up is fairly simple. I use mostly acrylics, so I stick it in a large bottle of water and turn it on for few seconds, then wipe off anything still on it with a tissue. My only complaint is the length of the stirrer. I would be happier with one about 2" to 3" long, or maybe offer the short stirrer as an add-on. I recommend this stirrer for anyone who paints very often.

Good for stirring paint in 2oz bottles
Works well enough stirring paint pots up. Better paddle design could stir paint better.

Essential tool for painting scale models!
In my humble opinion this is the best thing since sliced bread, round wheels & jelly donuts. I am an avid HO gauge scale modeler and this tool has allowed me to rescue bottles of acrylic paint I thought were "goners". I have a lot of Polly-scale acrylics and Floquil enamels that became "lumpy" over the years, as they are no longer being made I held on to them. I have tried aggressive stirring, shaking and adding BB's to the bottles over the years to no avail. In the first few days of using this wonderful tool I have restored at least a dozen bottles of paint. The tool is easy to use and clean and appears to be a scaled down version of my Cuisinart Smart Stick hand blender. It fits easily into the 1 oz bottles of paint and just like a blender draws the paint from the top to the bottom in an efficient vortex and blends it very well. It also breaks down any "lumps" in the paint and mixes them with the rest of the paint in the bottle. If the paint has settled out completely into a lump on the bottom I recommend using a stir stick to break it up before using this little blender. I have also already mixed a few custom colors and it is really great at creating a even and consistent color throughout the airbrush bottle. This afternoon I tried it out on a 2 oz bottle of Scalecoat enamel (also an extinct brand) and it worked very well with the thicker paint and after adding the thinner (again with this great tool) I was able to airbrush it efficiently. I them inserted it in a small jar of paint thinner. touched the switch for 5-7 seconds and it came out nice & clean. One minor downside... it chews up AA batteries, this can be addressed by using rechargeable batteries which was my solution. If you do any airbrush painting of anything this is an indispensable tool and I highly recommend it... best $20 I've spent in years!

Inexpensive, very useful product, highly recommended!
I have been using craft paints for nearly 20 years. I've been shaking them, and thinking that would suffice, to thoroughly mix them up, prior to use. I was wrong: over time, the craft paint thickens, and while it comes out as a paste, and it is still workable, this mixer will improve the consistency, dramatically, as I can add water/thinner to the thicker paint bottles, mix with the Badger device, and restore my paints to their original consistency. One reviewer stated that the mixer shaft, could not be removed, after it was slid onto the end of the handle assembly -- wrong, it is a simple pressure fit, and it slides off easily, for washing/cleaning. I have not had any issues with it. It also works for mixing up urethane-stain mixes, which have a serious issue with the pigment settling within the cans -- shake as hard, and as long as you like, you won't be able to manually shake them enough to fully mix the pigment within the solvent/urethane inside the can. Urethane-stain mixes require stirring, either manually, with a stick, or by using this wonderful device, to fully mix the pigment, for a consistent color. The mixer tip is all metal, easy to detach from the handle, and it can be cleaned with soap and water, or solvent cleaners, as needed. Great product, fantastic price, incredibly useful. Cheers!

It's worth about 1 dollar. Can't recommend.
Very cheaply made. Impeller falls out easily. Had to crimp the "collet". Switch is terrible and very undetectable. Even when it's off it will intermittently come back on when you least expect it splattering paint everywhere. Impeller wobbles. Rarely use this because it is a POS.

A great mixer
A great little mixer with a small mixing paddle that will fit through the neck of small paint bottles. The mixing paddle quickly mixes up settled and separated paints and reblends paint that has gone lumpy, A great mixer that does a great job.

Great for flat whites if you have a crappy milk frother
I got into mini painting and got a bit too ambitious and picked this up — never used it. I got a Nespresso and a milk frother but its not a wand frother and makes the peaks too stiff. But if you just heat the milk in it and then use this to stir it its a perfect consistency for flat whites.
