Great guitar for the price
I gave it 5 star because it does everything it suppose to a bargain price. No I am not a professional musician...so I don't need any bells and whistles. Basically I can now practice after the kids are in bed.I don't even need headphones to just practice hand exercises because there is enough of the acoustic sound.A few things that would be nice to improve on:1. It is heavier than I expected.2. I would like to have a better control on a low volume setting. ie. at the lowest volume I would like more range instead of the sound cutting completely off with a microturn of a knob. I am practicing flamenco style and during strumming parts it is very loud even on a lowest setting.3. also it would be nice to have some option piece along the lower front for a tapping plate.

The worst part of all is that the pick up would ...
I bought this just looking for something to practice with while my family is sleeping. Right out of the box, the headphone jack was drilled in too far, reflecting shoddy workmanship. The battery compartment is also almost impossible to remove The volume to the headphones is very difficult to control, to loud, to softy, and cracks when you adjust it (very painful). The worst part of all is that the pick up would not pick up the high e string. I took it to my local guitar shop (been going there for 15 year) and they said the pick up was shot. They tried to replace it and could not make it pick up the highest string no matter what, so they ended up not even charging me for a used pick up that worked better than the original, but still the guitar is really unusable. I informed the seller and they just apologized and said there is nothing they can do, saying it probably wasn't replaced with the right type of system, ignoring the fact that it came broken. Sometimes I use it because you can still hear it a bit without any amplification, when I really want to practice but can't. Overall I wish I could get my 200 bucks back.

This guitar is nothing like the Yamaha silent guitar
This guitar is nothing like the Yamaha silent guitar, the preamp is weak, and the preamp is everything on this guitar. can not recommend.

Received my Sojing 0202-U silent guitar Guitar
I received my Sojing 0202-U silent guitar today. The pictures had looked pretty good, and I was needing a silent guitar so I can practice late at night and not disturb my wife. My regular guitar is a Rainsong classical nylon string so I did not know whether I would care for the sound of this guitar.Well, I was pleasantly surprised! This guitar really does look nice! Straight out of the box I put a Snark tuner on it, tuned up the strings slightly (they were pretty close anyway), connected up the ear buds and played. Not bad. I removed the ear buds, connected up my Audio-Technica headphones and the fun began! The electronics are very sensitive! I had to barely crack the volume before it became REALLY loud in the headphones! Livable but need to adjust to. The tone control works very nice and I can get a full tonal range. I think I like the tonal qualities much better when connecting through my Peavey mixer (without playing with the EQ) and listening through the same headphones. The guitar arrived in the state of a lot of classical guitars straight off the shelf - the action is way too high so the first thing I will do (after making sure everything works and it's a "keeper", which I already have! :)) is drop the saddle height and probably the nut a little bit too. The tuners are 14:1 whereas my Rainsong has 16:1. I may at some point upgrade the tuners, the nut and saddle to bone, and possibly the pick-up and electronics. Although the only necessary change at this time is lowering the action - the other changes are purely my personal preferences!Overall I now have a guitar I can play at 2 am to my hearts content and my wife can sleep peacefully and not be disturbed! That is way cool! I am a "happy camper"!EDIT: I'd like to add to my original review. I have had my guitar for a bit, have lowered both the saddle and the nut. Now it plays beautifully, stays in tune very well. I pulled the machine heads, oiled them and put them back in (they are actually 15:1 and not 14:1 tuners). My only problem now is the volume control. When played through headphones directly the control is very hard to adjust since it is very sensitive! When played through my Peavey PV6 the sound is awesome!EDIT: I thought the electronics had a problem with the volume being incredibly sensitive. But as I worked with the instrument, the problem was the ear buds! When I replaced them with a better pair of headphones the volume works perfectly! I have replaced the saddle with a bone saddle and will soon do the same with the nut. I have an instrument that plays and sounds beautifully and meets everything I was hoping for!Darrel

Just got this guitar
I ordered the guitar on Amazon on Friday and got it delivered Saturday morning. Fantastic. Started playing it right away and was impressed. Sound was good, sustain was excellent. Action leaves a little to be desired. Too high of action but this can be modified I am sure. Very solid made guitar but, cannot be taken apart for travel. I enjoyed playing some of the songs I play on my classical guitar to hear difference and I think I like this better. I ran it through my microverb (to add reverb) and it sounded good. Tuners are excellent better than my classical. LED tells you when it is on which is good so you do not run down the battery. Tone controls worked fine but I like a balanced tone. I would say an excellent value for the money. You can plug guitar in through the head phones or on the back. The back plug in is kind of awkward cause if played classical style it can hit your leg.

Looks good but the quality of workmanship is terrible
Looks good but the quality of workmanship is terrible! I had changed all electronics, replaced the frets, and there are still many problems. Its more like guitar kit for handyman.

great guitar with great price!
it delivered on time and no problem with the shipping and packaging.I purchased this for silent practicing, it serves the purpose very well. Nice looking, finger board feels great, nice acoustic sound. I don't have an amp to try out but it's fine, don't care if it give good digital sound. sales guy are very helpful answering questions and solving issues. With this price, I highly recommend this to anyone who want a low cost guitar for quiet playing or practicing. It only cost one fifth of a Yamaha Silent Guitar. Cannot complaint! Not sure about the electronic part, but I just think you may be able to take it to an electrical guitar expert to add better electronic parts for better digital sounds?
