Very neat package
Fits perfectly with my new Mac Mini M4. I have added a 4TB SSD to store my photo library and everything works perfectly. Great to have a SD card reader and the three USB-A ports. Quality is brilliant and could pass for an Apple product.

Absolutely amazing docking station for the Mac Mini (M4)
Absolutely amazing docking station for the Mac Mini (M4). This thing is brilliant, great functionality and the NvME it gives the option of adding as by far (for me) the key feature. It is an attractive piece of hardware that perfectly matches with the Mac Mini… giving easier access to that controversial power button, not that many people ever actually switch off their Mac Mini (there really is not much point). Great features in terms of connectivity and fast USB ports which is a huge bonus. I fitted an NvME drive from a popular brand and have had no problems at all. Packaging was good, installation guide provided by video was very useful but installation of the NvME was simple and straightforward. Performance is great. Can’t fault this product.

Satchei M4 MAC MINI Base - Overall good build quality but could be better with a few improvements.
Build quality is good and matches the MAC MINI. It offers the ability to connect older USB devices via the front ports. It's a shame it is only USB C not a Thunderbolt connection as you lose one of the three Thunderbolt ports on the MAC MINI. I have a 2TB SSD drive installed and use that for a back up using the MAC Tme Machine backup. It would have been good if there was a HDMI output at the rear as an option as you lose one of the Thunderbolt ports which could be used to drive a monitor. For my use I connect it to G-Drive Pro which has 2 Thunderbolt port so I do not lose one of the three Thunderbolt ports on the MAC MINI. Overall it is a well built base that offers USB ports for older devices, but could have been better, hence only 4 stars. I forgot to mention the cutout at the back which is good as you do not need to lift the MAC MINI up to switch it on.

Great little hub
Excellent hub with inbuild SSD enclosure. I've paired it with a Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD, 2 TB and it works flawlessly with super fast read and write speeds. Also a bonus of having extra USB A ports and a card reader

Good quality, cheapest way to get the best spec out of your Mac Mini
This little hub is perfect device to add the extra storage and connectivity which is missing from the MAC mini. You can add extra storage move ssd reading the documentation has been tested 4TB but they believe it can go to 8tb but has not been tested or bench marked. The only thing for me if if it could have some USB and speaker point at the back. However this is just my preference. I have brought a 2TB SSD.’fitted all my required devices to it and with a built in memory SD reserve attaching another port. The price, well for what it dose, with very good build quality I would say well worth the money, and looks good with the Mac, without interference of the Mac performance

Hub runs quite hot - any why are all the ports on the front
An attractive looking hub designed to fit the Mac Mini 4. It features only three USB A ports and an SD card slot - for some reason all on the front - and costs £100. I have installed a 2TB Samsung SSD key in the slot under the hub. The hub seems to run very warm - about 38 degrees C although not actually being accessed. The SSD seems to stay quite cool but the front of the hub is very warm to the touch. I am concerned that when I put the Mac Mini on top the warm air will be drawn up into the computer and affect the performance. I have a much smaller and cheaper Lenovo USB-C hub which has 2 USB A ports, one USB C port, an SD card slot, a HDMI outlet and an ethernet port - much more than the Satechi hub. It is also of brushed aluminium and will sit nicely on top of the Mac Mini with a square of double sided tape. It also has the advantage of being able to be positioned with the ports (and therefore the cables) facing to the rear although of course this will make putting in an SD card more fiddly. I think that for the price the Satechi hub leaves much to be desired.

Nice addition to Mac Mini set up.
A nice addition to my Mac Mini M4 set up. A fast UHSII card reader is good for my photography and I added a 1TB SSD. Do a bit of research before buying a SSD, don't waste money on a fast SSD to put in this, it's not thunderbolt. If it was thunderbolt it would be 5*. It is still fast enough for most people, so highly recommended.
