Stops Thumbsucking
Working great too stop thumb sucking. I tried everything else. I measured my little one's arm first and got the small as recommended. It fits perfectly. The velcro makes it fit snug without slipping and without it being too tight. I found that it works best under a long sleeve pj shirt if your little one is devious enough to try to take it off at night and put it back on in the morning. I highly recommend.

Better than other options
These work better than other brands, but they aren't amazing. The Velcro tends to break down and holes start to form in the fabric within a few weeks. We use them for our son who self-harms and have found them to be better than other options out there (we've tried them all), but they could really do with an upgrade in quality.

Works well to stop sucking fingers
We had exhausted all other methods to get our almost 6 yr old daughter to stop sucking her fingers. This arm immobilizer worked great at nap time and night time sleeping to keep her fingers out of her mouth. She can't bend her arm with this on, the metal prevents from bending. She complained of the sensation of the fabric (like a mesh with small holes), so I just cut a piece of flannel to place between her skin and immobilizer. She has some sensory issues. This worked great and now she keeps her fingers out.

Lower quality
So I’ve been buying this product for a while now and I am super disappointed in the quality it is now. We buy this regularly because our son has autism and stereotypic movement disorder where he punches his head(self harms himself) to the point where he’s bleeding all over so these were a must to have especially when he goes to bed. The metal rod is what they used to use and now they use a flimsy plastic rod and now he’s able to hit himself at bed time. No parent likes waking up to their child covered in blood… Needless to say I won’t be getting any sleep til I find another good product. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE UPDATED PRODUCT!

Very easy & well made
We have a son with special needs & occasionally we have to use a elbow restraint to prevent him from hurting himself at times. These are so awesome & easy to use & remove, I recommend these if your in need of them.

Volco Strap Falls Apart after 30 days
Pro: a. like the idea with 3 hard plastic sticks to remind the elbow not to bend; b. The cuff length is good for smaller or bigger arms; c. overall is a good design; Con: a. The reason I give a lower star is due to the quality of the straps - after each use, the velcro hooks fall off; after 30 days of daily use, the velcro hook already fell off 80% of it. I had to sew a new strap to secure the brace; b. The hard plastic sticks do bend over time - it only works for a conscious mind who would intentionally keep the arm straight. It would be nice to use harder plastic materials; c. The fabric that holds the plastic stick does come apart easily, but I can sew them back and put some super glue to secure the sticks, no big deal; Update on 6-11-2022: a. the plastic stick no long function to stabilize the bending elbow after 40 uses, I bought stainless steel braces from (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QJ9HSK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), it is 1" shorter than what I need, but it works! b. the hooks fell after each use, and the felt strips are torn completely after 40 uses, I finally found really good quality velcro sets to replace them (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DRP6C64/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hope these tips may help the special needs families!

OCD/Autisim
With my daughters OCD and Autism, these have been a life saver. They keep her from constantly putting her fingers and toes in her mouth.

Cheap
While this wasn’t expensive it took a long time to arrive and is very cheaply made. Spend a few more $’s and get a better one
