Fish on, this one is a keeper
This fit my needs like a glove. This unit is easy to use, I have yet to have to read the online manual to do or adjust anything. It allows me to map and mark all of the spots that I pick up fish while trolling. Once you have made a few passes and have a map made up, you can fallow the same route along edges and ledges and it is accurate to a few feet. This is a huge advantage in lake trout fishing. You can skirt underwater structure, and get your lure in the "Strike Zone" consistently. I wish I had bought this years ago. The only draw back is that it will not keep a depth reading at speeds above 15 MPH, which would be great for mapping. But is steady, rock solid at trolling speeds.

NOT A CHARTPLOTTER! NOT AS ADVERTIZED!
All I wanted was a Chartplotter and not a fishfinder. This unit is a nightmare to try to program. Whatever program you get it to recognize, it dumps it once the power is turned off and needs to be reprogrammed when you turn it back on This unit is nowhere near as user-friendly as my other two Garmin Chirp chartplotters I DO NOT recommend this particular model. Garmin missed the target on this unit. I can't send it back as I have gone to great expense and time to have it mounted and powered, or I would return it. The manual is a nightmare to follow!

for the bow its ok
if you just want a fish finder and the ability to quick draw maps then its ok. but i wish i had bought the model that has WIFI to update the unit and maps, or a chart card/memory card slot would be nice, i would get the model that has WIFI to get updates. for the trolling motor bow location its ok, don't expect to navigate with this model its strictly a fish finder with thew ability to mark locations and quick draw a lake map.

Works perfect and very accurate.. I used it this past summer catching cod off the coast of Newfoundland in depths up to 200ft.. no problems.. only this I don’t like about it is it doesn’t show the coast line when using the GPS.

For the price it’s a great little unit. Sonar works very well to pick up baitfish and sport fish. Be aware that the gps has no mapping capability.
