I used this glove last three fishing trips and I like it. The reason I bought it is to protect my hands from accidental spikes and hooks. The glove is made from dense rubber and covered with fabric inside. It is extremely convenient to unhook fish that you can lift with the rod and grab with one hand. The glove provides nice grip and doesn't seem to damage fish's mucus layer compared with a towel or bare hands. To land bigger fish I use plastic jaw grip.I ordered medium size and the glove fits nice but if I order it again I'll pick a large size. There is no need to have it fit snuggly. In fish grabbing business bigger is better in my opinion. And it is easier to get your hand into it.The magnet is very strong. I am confident the glove will not be lost without me noticing. Great idea with the magnet and good implementation too!To sum it up: 1. During last three fishing trips no spikes in my hand 2. Hands are clean; washing glove is easy 3. No need to use bloody towel to grab the fish 4. Less damage to fish when unhooking it before the release 5. In case you need to break line, make a few turns around the glove and pull. No more painful line cuts.I am very happy with the purchase. Will buy a larger size and give this to my son.8/14/2017 Update:Attached pictures from the fishing trip.1. Small striper can be held with one hand. The glove protects fingers from sharp gill plates.2. The glove protects the hand from line cuts when handling larger fish. Non-slippery leader grip.3. The last picture is Scorpaeniformes fish from Triglidae family (Sea Robin). This fish is beautiful and very interesting. However, there is venom in the spines and hand protection is a must when handling this fascinating fish.

Overall first impression is that this glove will help protect against fish spines with its heavy textured rubber coating. Sizing is problematic. I usually wear a medium to large glove but I read that these run small. I ordered an extra large so I could easily slip my hand into the glove while fishing. Size is not extra large. Still fits my hand but having to use my other hand to pull it on defeats the purpose of the magnetic belt clip. When I shop again for a similar glove I will be looking for a different product.

These are a great idea! The sizes are way small on the girth and the fingers are too long. I wear a large mechanix glove because I like them tight and yes I usually short the fingers. With the idea of this glove being to slide your weak side hand in and get down to business.... well good luck. It's fine if you are helping someone else with a Northern Pike but if you have a rod in one and and try and put this on it's not going to happen. Item two, by the end of a week of fishing the grommet in the glove was coming loose and is bound to fall out. I love the idea and they do protect your hand once on but they need some more work.

2nd one I own. These are great for handling striper but spines will go through. It does deflect most treble hook thrashes though. Easy to throw on the hand right before landing on a kayak

This is my second glove but I really like the way they work. The only negative is that the magnetic part isn't stainless so that part eventually rusts if you use in salt water. I was able to use my first glove for a couple of seasons before I needed this second one. Being that I fish almost every weekend I thought it was well worth it.

Cool product concept for keeping your hands clean though the half glove design means that if you're using it to grab a fish in the water you will get water inside the glove also this does not really protect you from toothy critters another words you couldn't use it to lip a fish with teeth but it does protect you from course scales and give you a good grip on the fish

I am allergic to fish slime so I needed a glove that was easy to slide on when I hooked one. This works great. Strong magnet and good fit. Tough rubber coating and comfortable inside.

really cool concept with the magnet and belt clips. easy to slip your hands right into the gloves when you're ready to grab the fish to take the hook out or for whatever other reason. thick rubber, keeps your hands safe from scales. caught a 36 inch striper, got a really good grip of the fish. really like these gloves.
