manufacturer / supplier wanted almost 4 times the cost of this so I thought I'd take a punt.... and it is IDENTICAL in every respect....except the price !!!

Got this to replace the on off switch on a bell mini mix 150/220volt. The original switch lasted six years this one lasted six days. I guess you get what you pay for the issue with this one was that the on switch failed to lock on after six days use. Given that this must’ve been pressed on and off about 20 times over the six days it doesn’t say much for the internal construction. In the failing mode you could press it on manually and the cement mixer would run but as soon as you take your finger off it springs back out so the internal detent must’ve failed. It’s a sealed unit so you can’t do anything about it. I have now ordered an original spare from Bill which is three times the price but comes with a two year guarantee which seems fair to me. I think I’ve got suckered into this one because it was cheap but also it was Amazon Prime so I can get it the next day and I was in the middle of a job. It was a quick fix and got me over the hump but I couldn’t honestly recommend it for an enduring solution.

My mixer became more and more difficult to start. I thought it was the capacitor and fitted a new one, but this did not sort out the problem and it eventually would not start at all . Fitted new switch and it now works perfectly!
