It supplies essential fatty acids for your pet's skin and works from the inside to ensure that specific nutrients will help control shedding, scratching and flaking skin. PetGuard's Skin and Coat Supplement is a rich source of natural Vitamin E as well as Linoleic Acid, an essential fatty acid commonly known as the skin and coat vitamin. This supplement is also made with 100% unrefined wheat germ oil, cold pressed to retain valuable trace nutrients often lost in products that have been heat processed. it can be served directly or mixed into your pet's food. Adult Dogs: 1/2 teaspoon for each 20 pounds of body weight. Puppies: 1/2 teaspoon for each 10 pounds of body weight. Pregnant and Nursing Dogs: 1 teaspoonful for each 20 pounds of body weight. Adult Cats and Kittens: 1/2 teaspoon. Caged Birds: three drops in food. Ponies and Horses: 2 tablespoonfuls (one fluid ounce) twice a week for each 400 lbs. of body weight.
