A little of both. It plays music with 2 of the buttons but a 3rd button record's whatever the child days and sings those words back in a song

I’m not sure what you mean… But it does dance and sing. It also records noises and phrases that you say and remixes them in songs. My daughter loves it. It’s really cute!

Would this be a good toy for a 2.5/3 year old? I know it states up to 3 years old but want to hear from actual parents who's child of that age group.
