Honestly, for $17 and free (Prime) shipping, my hope were tempered. But the device works so well that I need to give a review. I have a MacBook and an LG USB C monitor. The monitor has a USB C hub of sorts on it, so I really wanted something to create some USB A locations. The current USB 3x hub that I have could not connect my iPhone for update since the new iOS. I'm not sure if that's bad luck or some sort of magic or operator error, but never-the-less, I wanted a new hub. The SD and the TF card readers work well. Note that TF and MicroSD's are different on the technical end, but the TF reader did read my microSD as expected. And I was able to connect my iPhone to create a backup to my computer (yes, I still do this because I'm old). Only downside is that this is a USB 2.0 hub. But the cord length, card readers, form factor and price make everything perfectly fine for me.

The good: Device works as advertised, turns 2xUSB-C ports into 1 USB-C with power pass-thru, 2 USB3-A, 1 HDMI, 1 2.5mm Audio, 1 SD and 1 TF card slot, and 1 RJ45 LAN connector. Note: the LAN port collapsed down to half height when not in use. The bad: Device is held in place only by the two USB-C connectors and is very easy to dislodge and could easily damage the connectors or ports. The fix: (See pics) I paired my tablet with a UAG Urban Armor case, and carefully cut the rubber on the left side of the case, leaving the corners intact. I took a smooth metal bracket (@2" x 12") i had left over from some project and placed it between the tablet and the case. Now, when I attach cables or this hub to my tablet I slide the bracket out. It prevents the hub or cables from being pressed backwards. Adding a Velcro wire tie around the bracket keeps the assembly from moving forward. I'm sure this can be done cleaner, but this has kept me from blowing out my USB ports so far.

I had been using a regular USB SD card reader to pull images off my cameras card on to my Surface Pro 7 but I had a 1 small problem. It used up the only USB port I had which meant no mouse dongle! So I initially bought this just to regain access to my mouse while I was transferring images. This hub solved problems I didn't even know I had! Now not only can I still use my mouse while transferring images but they transfer over like 10 times faster. On top of that, it's no longer a two-step process to get images on to my thumb drive because I can plug everything in at once and again because its all USB 3 it's SO FAST. I also love how compact it is and that plugs directly into the Surface. I think it's just a cleaner look than having another cord hanging off the Pro 7. 10 of 10 great buy!

I bought this adapter in August 2025 for my Surface Pro 11. It worked fine at first, but after about seven months it suddenly stopped outputting any video through the HDMI port. After troubleshooting, it became clear that the internal video chip has failed — the Surface still detects the adapter itself, but it no longer sends any video signal to the TV. Nothing changed in my setup except regular Windows updates, so either the internal chip died prematurely or the adapter is no longer compatible with the latest Surface firmware. In both cases, the result is the same: the adapter has become unusable. Very disappointing lifespan for a product that should last years. I would give 0 stars if I could. I hope the seller contacts me to offer a solution...

Compatibility with Microsoft Excel is questionable! I have used this hub with several items but in doing taxes this year I found it has compatibility issues with Excel. When using with the Surface Pro and my external hard drive Excel freezes every time I try to change fonts or cell formats and exhibits other issues well. Plugged the external drive directly into my work computer and Excel functions just fine. So, my deduction....... the hub is the issue.

Nice easy way get the connection needed

So far as so good. The previous version quit working within a few weeks. This one is more compact, maybe putting less stress on the connectors.

This hub does what it says. I have not tested all of it's features but it gives me many options for connectivity to increase my Surface capability.

No funciona nada bien, no reconoce la fuente de alimentación, ni un cable USB-C - HDMI para proyectar, no enchufa bien, ocupa demasiado espacio, cero decomendable.

I've never liked the cable heavy docking stations, this longer worked perfectly as it provides all the rights ports that most will need to connect other peripherals to your laptop.
