Game changer!
This thing is great. I've been using it for a couple of months to connect my tablet to a monitor. It has made my course work an absolute dream, so much easier to work on a larger interface but still have the portability if my tablet when I need it on the go. It allows dual screen use. I love its relatively low profile and the cost is WAY more affordable than the Microsoft version.

Great for when you need a docking station
This is a good docking station. The only problem is is the HDMI to mini display or display port doesn’t work with HDMI two VGA adapters other than that it’s a great device. I wish it came with an ethernet port also so I didn’t have to buy a docking station offered by Microsoft for a higher price.

Be careful
The good: Device works as advertised, turns 2xUSB-C ports into 1 USB-C with power pass-thru, 2 USB3-A, 1 HDMI, 1 2.5mm Audio, 1 SD and 1 TF card slot, and 1 RJ45 LAN connector. Note: the LAN port collapsed down to half height when not in use. The bad: Device is held in place only by the two USB-C connectors and is very easy to dislodge and could easily damage the connectors or ports. The fix: (See pics) I paired my tablet with a UAG Urban Armor case, and carefully cut the rubber on the left side of the case, leaving the corners intact. I took a smooth metal bracket (@2" x 12") i had left over from some project and placed it between the tablet and the case. Now, when I attach cables or this hub to my tablet I slide the bracket out. It prevents the hub or cables from being pressed backwards. Adding a Velcro wire tie around the bracket keeps the assembly from moving forward. I'm sure this can be done cleaner, but this has kept me from blowing out my USB ports so far.

Wouldn’t stay engaged in computer.
Doesn’t stay engaged if you use a protector for surface. Kept falling off.

Poor design & quality
Poor quality product . One of the USB ports stopped working within a week. Secondly, the middle USB port is not usable when using the LAN port and the other USB port - as there is not enough room to plug CAT 5 cable and two USB connections at the same time

Works really well
I bought this for our new Surface Pro 11. My son has one that uses a USB C cable to connect, but I liked the idea of powering the unit directly from the Surface and attaching it to the Surface. It is a little heavy, though it is fine while the unit isn't moving, but I'd remove it before walking around with it. The unit attaches directly to the Surface using the two USB C ports, and then powers all the outlets from that. It was 2xUSB A ports and 1xUSB C port. If you need more you'll need to find something else. I've used all the USB ports and it works perfectly. I have my sidekick monitor on one USB port and a logitech keyboard / mouse dongle on another. Even though I bought the flex keyboard, which I do like, sometimes it's just easier to type on a full sized keyboard. What's interesting is that with the anywhere dongle, the logitech keyboard works and so does the flex keyboard. I can literally type with one hand on each keyboard. I tried an SD card and a micro SD card in their slots and they both saw the discs (they were empty). I haven't tried the HDMI port or audio jack as of yet. I like it so much I bought one for my son for father's day for his Surface!

Easy for travel
This port adapter is great for the cost-- it has a lot of ports. It hooks in well and stays in place. The ports all worked and allowed for easy hookup to other devices.

This hub does what it says. I have not tested all of it's features but it gives me many options for connectivity to increase my Surface capability.

No funciona nada bien, no reconoce la fuente de alimentación, ni un cable USB-C - HDMI para proyectar, no enchufa bien, ocupa demasiado espacio, cero decomendable.

I've never liked the cable heavy docking stations, this longer worked perfectly as it provides all the rights ports that most will need to connect other peripherals to your laptop.
