27x1-1/4 Bike Tire, Tube and Rim Strip

Overall, this package offers a good entry level set for repairing something like an old 27 inch road bike. There are no frills here and it's one stop shopping which is why I got this set. The tires are inexpensive but they can actually be found for even less if you search. I do like the look of these tires because they have really high gum walls which match my vintage bike. They gum walls look higher in real life than in the photos. However, these tires are one of Kenda's lower tier offerings and I expect them to last only a couple of years under medium use. I'm not that happy with the tubes and may actually give them away. After having used threaded metal stems with locking screws, these old-style short rubber stems are just not as easy to attach a pump head to. In summary, I think it's better to buy separate parts if you don't mind shopping for them.

These were a set of new tires and tubes for a vintage 1969 Schwinn Super Sport bicycle. They will work pretty good for this vintage antique bicycle.

UPDATE: These tires are very inexpensive so remember that. Had them on two different bikes, in both cases lasted 3 years with light-moderate riding, in Los Angeles so no extreme weather. My bike mechanic told me to get new tires on my red bike last month and I replaced these with a new set. Then this month, I had a blowout on my blue bike. So both sets lasted about 3 years. The inside of the tire was worn like it had been creased along the middle, and that is where the one inch slit was after I heard the loud POP. I was 5 miles from home and it was inconvenient so now I bought much more expensive tires with flat protection. We’ll see. For the price and 3 years service, I would still say 5 stars, but that is “for the price”. In future I’ll pay more for flat protection.ORIGINAL: I had our mechanic put these tubes and tires on the vintage Schwinn that I bought my husband on Craigslist, since he was doing some other work also. That way I knew they would be 100% correct since some people had complaints. I also have these tires and tubes on my vintage Schwinn and they have been on for nearly a year, no problems. We ride semi-regularly and the tires and tubes are holding up fine. Will include a photo.

Have an old Raleigh 10 speed touring bike that had tire rot issues on the existing tires. Tubes would not hold air any longer. I replaced the tires and tubes with this set and back on the road. Install was simple. I would have preferred going with a larger tire however since the rim is so narrow I figured I'd stick with OEM type replacements. No regrets
