Jess Franco co-writes, directs and stars in this French horror. The film follows a mad priest who exorcises the demons from the cast and audience of a show using the tried and tested techniques of the Spanish Inquisition. Having seen the Black Mass-inspired erotic show, the priest is convinced that death is the only exorcism that will purify these people. The cast also features Lina Romay and Lynn Monteil.

Classic 70s french arthouse sleaze in a lackluster package.
One of Rollins better movies. Must own if you like french arthouse sleaze from the 70s.Sadly the lack of any special features make the disc a little lackluster. When there exists companies like Arrow video and Shameless that gives these cult movies better treatment it is a shame that Screenbound does not try harder.It does have excellent video quality and good sound so I recommend a buy but only when ot goes down in price.

CUT, in more ways than one.
BEWARE - this DVD presentation by Arrow is a CUT version. For the full version see the Redemption blu ray entitled Jess Franco's EXORCISM.Even so, there is enough explicite nudity and make-believe sadism to satisfy most needs. KAN

Demoniac - DVD Arrow Entertainment
This is a nice transfer in 1.85:1 however there are a couple of issues.The original was in French and this is an English dubbed version. It is good that it has English subtitles however I can't fathom why arrow would include English subtitles but not go the extra inch and have the option of the original French audio.The cover states that run time is 90 minutes (Amazon is wrong when stating 94 minutes) so 4-5 minutes has been lost. I don't believe it is a PAL/NTSC issue as this is a UK DVD produced from a European film. Perhaps someone can verify this.All in all OK but not great.
