Clairefontaine 'Age Bag' Clothbound Notebook, A4, Lined, 192 Pages - Red

Please someone take this book away from me as I cannot stop writing in it. I only use a fountain pen and finally found a A4 book with paper that my pen ink glides on with no bleed through. Beautifully crafted

Using this with my fountain pen and it is a dream. Much better than the cheap paper from my other notebook(s). Very smooth and no bleed through whatsoever. I tend to push hard when I am writing and lots of ink usually will cause me to grab pages and rip them. That will not happen with this notebook. The green color is also very nice. I also own the brown one and it too looks very nice and 'professional'. The spine has a cloth wrap and I use a white gel pen to write the dates on the spine. Works well and looks very 'vintage'. Overall the best notebook I have used and it is my go to for journal-ling(?).

This is a beautiful notebook for people who appreciate beautiful paper and a lovely writing experience. If you're searching for an A4 size you'll find that it's hard to find, especially in this nice paper type. Worth the money. Will order again!

I used this with different fountain pen inks and it is awesome, the paper is excellent. Despite having a binding that looks like many cheap Composition Notebooks it does not lie nearly as flat. My guess is that regular users of this product have gotten use to that. Despite several different approaches i still don't have it lieing as flat as a Comp Notebook. Also, I've removed the elastic band used to keep the cover shut. It's connectors caused the last several pages to not lie flat. Overall, it is very high quality like it and would recommend it. I will read comments from others to see if I'm missing something about how flat it can be made to lay.

Item arrived on time. Good value on A5 Claire Fontaine notebook. The paper thickness is just perfect for my fountain pen. Bleed through is minimal if at all. The cover is made of pressed paper and does not feel like leather. The color is just as described. Shipment was on time.

Full size pages, and usable on BOTH sides of each sheet, because even with a fountain pen the ink doesn't bleed through. This is a great product and ideal for a long term (or, I assume, short term!) record of notes.

i write all the first drafts of my novels with fountain pens. took me a long time to find notebooks where the ink doesn't run. These notebooks fit the bill perfectly. i'm a better writer because of Clairefontaine notebooks. great for all writing instruments. just feel the paper and you will be hooked.

I use a lot of A5 size notebooks and have gone through various brands over the years. As a fountain pen user, I often find that the paper permits bleed through even in some quality branded notebooks. This Clarefontaine notebook is excellent. Good quality white paper. No bleed through, and I can write comfortably on both sides of each page without concern. This version is thicker, with a larger number of pages, but still fits well in a Bellroy work folio. Will be ordering again
