I am not sure if it is ceramic, but I know I love it. I have fine hair and it makes beautiful curls and they stay. I can't tell you how long I have been using this curling iron. At least 25 years. Of course not the same one. You won't be sorry if you buy one, ceramic or not.

Q: Can this be used in Switzerland??

I believe you turn the small dial at the base of the unit to 220v/250v when in Europe and use a plug adapter. In the United States, turn the small dial back to 110v/125v.

Q: How do you change brushes on the devise? Mine arrived with the larger brush 'locked' in place and I want to switch to the smaller brush but am unable.

There is a small ring with a tab on the device below the removeable brush. You slide the tab to lock or unlock position. To switch out brushes, slide the tab to the unlock position, grasp the brush barrel and pull upward toward the tip to detach it from the device. Insert the other brush with the notches at its base lined up with those in the device. Slide the tab to lock and you're good to style.
