I LOVE THIS BOOK! A MUST READ!

I think it was a very interesting book. A fast paced thriller as expected, with a surprising and satisfying ending. It was a very cleverly written book.

一人称で書かれているし、あまり難しい英語も使われていないので、とても読みやすいです。内容も面白かったです。最後はなるほどと驚かされました。

Good readミステリ部門第一位獲得の本書、かなり期待して読みはじめました。英語はビックリするくらい平易で癖がなく、すらすら読めます。美しく才能あふれるアーティストに、ワケありの心理療法士、その妻の女優に浮気相手の人気写真家、怪しげなフランス人画廊経営者にハープを弾いちゃうカウンセラー、とキラキラした登場人物。ううん、これはエアポートノベルというジャンルかも。めまぐるしいストーリー展開で飽きさせず、ヒロインのトラウマの解明など、サブストーリーの埋め込み丁寧。だけど、残念ながらクライマックスに至る前に犯人はわかってしまう。てかわかりやすいというか。心理療法士としての主人公の描写がていねいでリアルなところ、キーアイテムにギリシャ神話が使われているところがヨーロッパっぽくてよかったけれど、ミステリ好きには物足りないかもしれません。

先が気になる展開でとても面白かったです。後半は予想外でどんどん読み進めることができました。おすすめです。

The book was so engrossing that I couldn't put it down. Finished reading it overnight.It has a mind twisting ending.

I did not anticipate much about this book, as the author seems to be a new one. But this British mystery is stunning, with incredible tricks and psycho-suspense. The shocking ending may be figured out by experience mystery readers in the middle, but still the whole plot is so interesting. I felt as if I had seen a well-designed BBC TV suspense show. But, the beauty of this book can be cherished through "reading" a paper book version, in old-fashioned manner, still. 日本語英語バイリンガルの筆者の意見、近年では最高の英国のサイコサスペンスのミステリーです。 途中で犯人はわかると思いますが、それでも面白い。プロットは古典的かな？ よくできていますが、全体のキャラクターや状況は現代的で面白いです。お勧めです。

I haven’t started reading it yet but since it is a best seller I have a big expectations for it
