This is my first gaming laptop. I was looking for something that could handle all the games I was interested in and so far no complaints! I’ve had it for about 2-3 months. No issues with Minecraft, Hogwarts Legacy, Skyrim, and a few other open world games. It’s fast and easy to use, great “budget” laptop. As all the other reviews say the fans can get loud but as long as you use headphones it’s really not noticeable. The size is perfect since it’s pretty average and portable without compromising on screen size. Clarity is nice. The only thing I am not too happy about is the squished number pad. My work computer is the same size and has a normal layout number pad but this laptop has narrow number keys. Not an issue at all if you don’t plan on using them but I’m a spreadsheet person even for my personal life so sometimes it’s annoying to use. Probably something internal that compromised the space available for it. Overall I recommend this laptop!! I think it will last years and you’ll definitely get your moneys worth.

My wife needed to upgrade because her previous Acer Nitro was damaged. She wanted another Acer because her last one was 8 years old and still worked (although the HDD was 128GB and the screen was damaged due to negligence), so the build quality and performance were impressive to her. She's over the moon with this one. Her only complaint is that the keyboard backlight doesn't stay on. It has a time-out even when plugged in, but that's not a big thing for her. This version is much thinner than the previous versions, and much lighter. That does lead to limitations on heat dispersion, but it doesn't get too hot. Size-wise, it's a lot smaller than her older version. The keyboard is a smaller keyboard but still has a 10-key. Overall, it's definitely a good computer for the price point, but it isn't the best for those with larger hands.

Picked up the Acer Nitro V gaming laptop a couple days ago, August 18, 2025, ‘cause I needed somethin’ to crush it in my games. This thing’s a beast—Intel i7 and that RTX 4050 make my FPS soar, hittin’ that sweet 165Hz display like a dream. Setup was a breeze, and the lightweight design’s a bonus for luggin’ it around. Other reviews love the value and performance, and I’m with ‘em—runs my comp games smooth as butter. But dang, it gets loud as heck when gammin’, and the heat can sneak up on ya. Keyboard backlit times out too quick, which is annoyin’, and the 16GB RAM feels a tad skimpy—wish it came with more outta the box. Still, for the price, it’s a killer deal if you can handle the noise!

Great price for what you get. Can handle work, school and a light amount of gaming. 16 gb of ram is really the lowest you need nowadays

This Nitro V has been a solid gaming laptop so far. Performance is quick and smooth games and everyday tasks run without any issues. The screen looks great and the system overall feels responsive. It does heat up pretty quickly under load, and the battery life isn’t the best, so it’s definitely better suited for being plugged in. Still, for the specs and price, it’s a good laptop that gets the job done.
