It a nice upgrade for me, I was using a z30 camera as my first camera to learn the basic photograph, then I choose to upgrade to z50ii. The picture quality is amazing with the silent setting for animals photography great without scary the animals. The z50ii is little more heavier then the z30.

I love this camera! I have wanted a mirrorless Nikon for some time but hesitated to purchase due to high price. This camera is marketed as an entry level mirrorless camera however it performs almost all functions of the much more expensive Z8 or Z9. Same processor as Z9, most functions of Z9. Cons: only one card slot, battery life is too short, no auto sensor cleaning funcion Pros: Cost. Weight is 17 oz. Excellent auto focus and speed. Bird tracking. Prerelease function.

I gave it 3 stars, not because it's a bad camera. It's because Nikon named it Z50ii(APSC) which I confused with Z5ii(Full Frame). This camera is APSC, but I was looking for the full frame Z5ii. It also takes a different battery which made me buy the wrong battery charger and extra batteries, so I had to return them. Now that I realize I bought the wrong camera, I have to return it, and I have to, ironically, buy the orginal battery charger and batteries that I previously returned. Comedy of errors. It's my fault for not paying close enough attention, but a different naming strategy for such different cameras would have saved me a lot of headache.
