Having had this for 6 months I'm done with it. Overlay complicated controls compared to other units like this just annoy me and to top it off, it keeps saying error and not dispensing food. It's got one job and can't do that right. Looks, no substance

Great auto-feed for your pets. We have two cats; this is a perfect feeder that keeps them nourished - even on the long days when we get home late. Allows owners to feel a sense of comfort that their pets will receive their dry food whenever they are not home. We never feed the cats manually anymore; we just fill the 'sealing' dry cat food reservoir once every 2-3 weeks. I haven't tried it, but I would feel comfortable leaving for 1 or 2 weeks; knowing that even if the electricity went out in my neighborhood, that the battery backup would keep our cats fed throughout the duration of the power outage. There are many settings and a lot of programs that can be used; we just use 2 of them; a cup in the morning and a cup in the afternoon. The sound it makes dispensing the food now serves as the 'dinner time' call - they come running when they hear the food drop in the morning. The never upgraded version of this has wifi and a build in camera. I think that would be an asset if you didn't have any other wifi cameras in your home (to see the cats eat...or check how much food is in their bowl), but we have dialed in the right amount of food, and feel very confident that they are getting fed. Paired with an automatic watering system (upside down bottle on a bowl), the cats get everything they need to eat and drink.

We’ve had this feeder for a few years now and we are very satisfied. It works flawlessly and doesn’t need that much cleaning. We empty and wash it a few times a year to remove some of the accumulated food powder. It never jams and delivers systematically the adequate quantity according to our settings. In the last year we also bought a water fountain from the same maker and it works just as well.

UPDATE: [It's almost the seven month mark of having and using this feeder daily. Still love it, works great.] Have had and been using this feeder for the past 3 weeks now, and am really happy with it. It's our first time using an autofeeder and after weeks of deliberation I bit the bullet and got one I spent every night reading reviews for. I was so beyond relieved that the purina one food fits in it as I know that the kibble is on the larger side. We've had no issues with jams or anything else thus far. It's been a great help with us since we have three cats and don't want to let them free feed throughout the day. We haven't had to rush home to feed them since we got it. I did measure the portions out to make sure they're being fed right and while it took a bit for them to adjust to it. All three were eating from it without a fuss not even a full day after setting it up. It is definitely on the pricier side, but I appreciate a lot of the key features. Being able to lock the buttons to keep the cats from changing settings is great. Not having to download or worry about a third party app is a great relief for me. And there's even the battery option in case of power outages. The biggest issues I have with the feeder are: The price (not much can be done about that) Cleaning it was a little confusing and I wish that I could clean the actual dispensing part of the machine. I wish the product came with more desiccant bags considering its meant to be replaced every 15 days and again, the price of the feeder. They do send an extra portion divider, but I think the extra fresh packet would've been more helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend it, it's relieved a lot of anxiety and I don't regret the purchase in the slightest.

It has all the bells and whistles - but I'm still struggling to program it. However, it died - no its not the product's fault - its the cat who chewed the cord - he's fine the big stinker. So I've ordered the D batteries and will figure out how to program the dang thing. I liked it because it holds a lot of kibble and shuts tight and also because it has two bowls - I have two cats. So I have not given up. I will figure this thing out.
