Absolutely wonderful tool. It's not magic so don't expect to feel 100% better after a single use but if you give it some time, you'll absolutely experience improvement. I've been dealing with soreness in my quads and hip flexors for years and in just two weeks, I'm feeling some incredible differences. I always stretch, foam roll, etc. but this is far and away the best thing that's worked for me. It's a great quality tool and will probably last your lifetime. I typically use coconut oil but I'm sure any lubricant with sufficient viscosity will work just fine. I can feel every bump and ripple as the tool glides across my muscles making it easy to identify my trouble spots. It can hurt at times but it's definitely the good kind of hurt. The tool is worth every penny when you consider how much a single appointment for Graston costs. My house has practically turned into a physical therapy clinic. My wife, mother and I each use the tool on ourselves and each other. To that point, I sometimes find it difficult to hit every spot on my own so you'll likely get a lot more out of the tool if you have someone else willing to use it on you from time to time. The only negative I can think of is that the handles can get very slippery depending on what kind of lubricant you use. I would absolutely purchase again. Zero regrets!

I’m a physical therapist and this is equivalent to similar handlebar tool from Graston kit. The weight of the tool and shape of the edge are perfect for instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. It’s also easy and safe enough to educate patients to use on themselves without causing fatigue or aching of the hands. Very happy to have a high quality tool that didn’t require the purchase of a $2500 set! It’s still not a terribly cheap instrument but heavy duty, heavy weighted steel instruments that are quality enough to use in a clinic are rarely this cheap either! Worth the price tag

I got the ST004.Here's my advice for you. If:1) you've had several sessions of physical therapy in which they use graston tools on your muscles, so you have a pretty good idea about what to do;2) your problem is chronic and keeps coming back, like mine: bruxism and associated neck problems - sternocleidomastoid, back of the neck etc;3) you can reach your affected muscles yourself (for instance, if the muscles behind your shoulder blades are affected, then you won't be able to reach them yourself with this tool in the needed angles - get a "lacrosse" double massage ball for that instead).If the 3 items above apply to your case, then absolutely GET THIS THING and use it on yourself. I also have a jade gua-sha tool that can be used in a similar way, but while it is way cheaper than this, it does NOT provide the same result. This product right here is what you need - it is heavy enough and the edges are thick enough to actually release your muscles. This thing is kind of expensive but it feels exactly like my physical therapist's graston tool - and those professional ones are ridiculously expensive.

I purchased this mostly for self care. I am a massage therapist by trade and when I was looking for one I didn't know what to expect. A college of mine uses one just like it and it prompted me to look into get one and I'm glad I did.

I paid a little extra for the additional functionality and I'm very glad I did. I have problems all over my body -- knees, calves, hands, thumbs, arms, elbows, shoulders, back, and neck. This handy device handles it all.

I've been waiting my whole life for this. Amazing. The stuff I'm pulling out of my body and my clients is truly amazing. Highly recommend

I'm not often compelled to leave a product review so quickly. . . But this tool arrived just an hour ago and man am I happy. Extremely appealing to the eye and has some serious weight behind it. Every edge is wonderful. The workability is awesome. Did a little self therapy upon opening it. As soon as you put this tool in your hands its honestly almost automatic. I am very happy to have purchased this tool and should highly recommend.

This is a solid tool, but not completely stainless steel. It came with some chips and scratches (not sure that it's new, maybe came already used), so you can see that it's black beneath the shiny coating. While it's less expensive than some of the other graston tools out there, it's still a pricey item that shouldn't come damaged or less than adverised. Debating whether or not to return for a refund.
