The Lean Manufacturing Pocket Handbook Paperback – October 15, 2003

Arrived as promised.

Don't expect to learn all there is to know about lean manufacturing from this book. It is brief but to the point. It is great for a quick reference of terms and definitions.

It has little explanations on a whole stack of lean tools. Deeper explanations of items is always available on the internet, this acts like a little reference book. It appears quite thorough and even has some examples. Also available in Spanish which was a plus for me.

This is a concise means to share with employees the concepts of Lean. The size is something that fits into their pockets and they are able to carry it with them. It is a quick reference when faced with a situation.

This thing is tiny and very expensive for what it is....but if you understand the contenty and apply 10% of it, then it will have been worth the $8

I've read this book in half an hour and definitely will keep it on my table. This short and clear guide can serve as a checklist for continuous improvement in production.

Just getting into manufacturing and learning about this.
