MOSPRO Shock Training Collar for Dogs with Remote Rechargeable Anti Bark E Collar,Beep Vibration Shock

If I could give this negative stars, I would. The first time we put it on our dog, it spontaneously turned on and got stuck on vibrate mode. This was immediately after putting it on him. It scared the **** out of my boy. It has, since then, had several instances of spontaneously turning on. We have not had it on the dog since the first incident, but it's turned on more than once, while sitting on our table. We are returning it tomorrow and will not be purchasing another one. This collar could be dangerous. Please be careful with its use on your fur-babies.

Negatives:1) When reducing the shock intensity the remote often goes straight from 2 back around to 100, skipping 1. This could be dangerous if you're not paying careful attention to the screen. I don't think the setting should circle around from low to 100 like that anyway.2) The collar doesn't stay tight so before long the prongs aren't touching the skin and it's ineffective. I put a couple of stitches through it to keep the collar the right size.This worked well to train Penny to stop chasing the neighbors. With my niece trained I moved on to working with the dog(j/k). I've only used shock once, after that vibrate gets her attention.

This thing is amazing! We live in an apartment so there are lots of outside noises and we bought this for our dog to deter constant barking. The unit is much nicer than I expected. It seems sturdy. It is easy to use, and the battery life is good too! Since we started using this, our dogs barking has completely stopped. We use the vibration mode and it works great. We have also tried using the sound option before we used to vibration so that when she hears the sound she stops barking and we don’t even have to use the vibration at that point. I would definitely recommend this product! It has been a lifesaver for us!

This is the third collar I’ve tried for my 2 year old German Shepherd and today is the first day I’ve felt we’ve made progress in working with her. I have it set very low because I’m so afraid to hurt her. But the lowest setting is still affective. It doesn’t hurt her at all but definitely gets her attention. After just an hour she’s like a whole new dog. I received the collar about a month ago and never opened it because I was already thinking it wouldn’t help. But this morning I opened it and put it on her and I wish I had opened the box sooner! She went from wild and unruly to calm and we actually got to play together today. I’m in tears I’m so happy!!!

This is one of the first times I’ve received a completely ineffective product off of Amazon and I’m so disappointed. If I could give 0 stars I would. For some reason no matter what I do it does NOT work. I have read the information on how to set up and use it, it’s not like I just took it out of the box and threw it on. It’s not strong whatsoever. At the absolute highest setting it feels like a weird tickle, nothing strong enough for my boxer to even notice. Maybe mines defective?? Just spend the extra money on a nicer one.

I don't use the shock, just the vibration and beep mode. It works well in breaking my dog mid-chase of my cats. The beep mode alone worked in stopping his barking in his crate. Very good tool for bad habits that I wasn't able to break alone with positive reinforcement. The shock mode can also be set so low that it won't be felt if you somehow get on the wrong mode. I tried it myself.

So this is an update. The vibrate and beep work. The shock stopped working on the first collar I bought and 3 weeks after receiving a replacement the shock stopped working on it. Both lost connection 2 or 3 times a day and I would have to hold the button on the collar until it beeped multiple times to reconnect it. But luckily my pup only needed to be vibrated for bad behavior and beeped to come.

We have a dog that wants to chase after cars while we are on walks. He needs correction that gets his attention. One, we don't want him running into the street when we open the door. This gets his attention, but isn't on all the time so there is no problem with him getting a jolt when he isn't doing anything wrong.
