Minimalist ultra-light hydration pack for the final ascent or reservoir sleeve to throw in a larger multi-day pack - you get both with the Arete 18. Convert the Arete into a reservoir sleeve and place in your larger pack to be your hydration solution as you trek to basecamp. When you're ready to go for the summit, convert it back to its pack form and pack your summit essentials. The 2 liter Antidote hydration system also folds into its own pint-size pouch so you can throw it in a suitcase or stash it in your backpack. However you use it, the Arete 18 is a pack that will come in handy wherever you go.

Great size and waterproof
Great size and waterproof, but handle a the top broke with 2nd use. You can tell there was some defect in the sewing because it unraveled right at the seam, with frayed edges no actual tear.

Best for day trips
I use this for music festivals, day trips, and as a personal item when flying. It's very versatile and can fit plenty even with a full bladder.

Perfect size for trail running.
Super lightweight & small, I like it for trail running, it doesn't have a waist belt & that works for light loads & I can wear a run belt with it without any interference. The really cool thing is that it's also a Camelbak hydration bladder sleeve, I use this whenever I wear a backpack that doesn't have an integrated Camelbak bladder so I can turn any pack into a Camelbak! I wasn't so sure about this pack at first because it's so small but it has come to be my most favorite small backpack for training!
