Orbeez Hand Spa

This was the hit of my 10-year-old daughter's spa-themed birthday party. All the girls wanted their Orbeez hand baths and manicures. If you notice that the water flow is significantly decreased, check the batteries and also try clearing out the water spout with a toothpick. Sometimes small Orbeez pieces may make it through the drain and can clog the spout.UPDATE (6/16) - I'm downgrading this from 5 to 4 stars as it has not held up well over a few uses. When we tested this for my daughter's next party (one year later), after only about 8 to 10 uses, the unit would not turn on at all. Fresh batteries did not help and taking the unit apart showed no obvious problems (all wires connected, etc.). So I had to run to Walmart to buy another one (can't have a spa birthday party without the Orbeez hand spa!). Still fun for my daughter and her friends, but apparently not sturdy enough to hold up to repeated use.

This doesn't really do much other than bubble a little bit and dribble water on your fingers. It does feel kind of relaxing to run your fingers through the gel beads, but it's not much different from putting the Orbeez in a bowl of water. It did give a little girl a big smile on Christmas morning and a day's worth of fun, so I guess it has some value. Other than that it's just another pricey novelty that went back in the box and on a shelf and will probably never be used again.

My 12 yr old daughter requested this for Christmas, while it was fun to use once, it was never used again. Younger girls may enjoy more than a pre-teen

My girls, ages 7 and 9, love the hand and foot spa. I'm not a fan of storing the beads and they can be a bit messy, but they have so much fun playing "spa" that it's worth it.

I got this for my six year old daughter for Christmas and she likes it alot more than I do. Do not make the mistake of letting the Orbeez soak and grow in the hand spa. We were so excited we did just that and realizing after we did it that the instructions clearly states not to. You need to put them in water in a different container. Because we didn't do this little tiny pieces of the gelatin went into the vents inside the spa. This hand spa has a spout that throws out water and hits the top of the green cover (see picture provided by Amazon) well the Orbeez got stuck in that spout. I had to suck on that spout and get it all out which took a some time and didn't look pretty. I'm thinking that little pieces of Orbeez can get stuck in the machine even if you don't grow the Orbeez in them because eventually your Orbeez fall about and float around and will get sucked inside. So, if your spout stopped spitting out water look into it, you can see if gelatin is stuck there. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, I can imagine how dirty those Orbeez get with little hands touching them. They end up on the floor and outside and get full of dirt and hair, it's gross. This is the last Orbeez toy my daughter will be getting and I wish I had told Grandma to get her something else.

great for young girls. got it for my niece for her birthday and she loves it!

Bought as a present for niece. She seems to like it and it still seems to work after being bought last Christmas.
