It's your life ... take responsibility to save it!
It's your life ... take responsibility to save it! That's now my philosophy. Read this book and others so you can make "informed" decisions. You have the right to be involved in decisions concerning your own healthcare.Let me start off by saying that I'm the type of person who will first turn to healthy foods and supplements rather than prescription medicines. When I was told I had high cholesterol, I threw the prescription pills in the trash and corrected the situation with my diet. It worked, and my high cholesterol was lowered very quickly in 6 weeks without pills ... much to my doctor's dismay. I don't take blood thinners, or cholesterol meds ... don't have diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart trouble. But, when I was first told that I had breast cancer, I went into shock. Really, they couldn't even get a blood pressure or pulse on me. My first response was total fear(!), as I had been brainwashed to believe that nothing could really be done except to trust doctors, drugs, and surgery (but I really don't), as their way was the only way, so I dutifully read the drug-company-sponsored "propaganda" booklets I was given and then, out of disbelief and desperation, everything I could get my hands on concerning alternative methods (cures) ... also taking every supplement and eating every food that even remotely hinted at being a cancer cure or preventative.Anyway, I had some breast tenderness and pain shooting to the side, under my arm, but they didn't really know for sure that I had breast cancer until, after a negative mammogram, 2 inconclusive biopsies, a few other scans (so many scans that I can't remember what they were), including a CT, and finally the lumpectomy, which they said (on biopsy) did show positive for cancer. Let me tell you, tho, that, after reading all that I had read, I still sometimes have my doubts. There definitely was a lump, but it was only evident on palpation, and I did have my doubts as to it actually being cancer; however, I agreed to the lumpectomy but was taking the supplements to try to reduce the tumor/lump size (and succeeding). And as if I wasn't upset and literally "worn down" enough from all the tests/scans that showed negative or inconclusive, it was what happened AFTER the lumpectomy that really got me going! It seems that some doctors only release to us patients a little information, a step at a time, not letting us know exactly what we're going to be subjected to over the long haul ... and I knew absolutely nothing about cancer when first going into this, and, after all I'd read/studied, I was aware that many have been treated for cancer who actually didn't have cancer ... and died in the process.MOF, in addition to all the unintentional misdiagnoses of cancer I'd read about, I recently read about a doctor who "INTENTIONALLY" misdiagnosed people with cancer and made a fortune in the process!!! Here's the headline: "Michigan doctor held on $9 million bond for misdiagnosing cancer patients in Medicare scam" in case you want to read the story.Anyway, after my lumpectomy, I was told that they got it all (read the reports myself and thought well good ... this is over! Whew!), but then I was told they needed to do a sentinel lymph-node biopsy ... sounds harmless enough (right?), until I started doing research on the procedure and realized that I need my lymph nodes to fight disease, and I didn't trust them to not take as many as they wanted or more than was needed! Meanwhile, I had the PET scan, which showed negative, and saw an oncologist who wanted to sign me up for chemo and radiation. My head was literally spinning from all this and all the contradictory information I was being told (and not told) and all that I was reading during my own research.I did some really heavy thinking and soul searching and finally decided that if I listen to the doctors and somehow don't survive, it could be too late and I wouldn't even be alive to be able to blame the doctors (whom I didn't trust any further than I could toss them) for my demise. BUT if I chose an alternative, holistic anti-cancer plan and didn't survive then I would have no one to blame but myself. Let me tell you ... I'd rather be in the position of making my own choices and have no one to blame but me, so I chose to cancel the lymph-node biopsy and tell the oncologist that I decided to take the alternative approach. I'm just not a person who likes to blame others when things don't go right. I didn't want to feel like a victim. Even my primary care doctor was trying to scare me by telling me that she had a patient who "waited too long to decide and ...," she never finished that sentence ... just left it hanging. Well, that scare tactic didn't work on me either. I guess that's really her job, and who knows what pressure she might have been under to get me to sign on that dotted line? That was the first time I felt that I couldn't trust her with my welfare. My refusals didn't end there, though. It took all of 6 months of me telling everyone a big fat NO! They hounded me with phone calls and made appointments for me that I had to keep cancelling. They even went ahead and scheduled another lymph-node biopsy (after I had refused it) which I had to call and cancel (10 months after the lumectomy). That was just over 3 years ago, and until last year I was just taking the supplements and eating the right foods.Last year, though, I did more reading about laetrile and found out about apricot seeds and immediately started chewing them daily for a snack. I had somehow developed another lump in my breast (didn't seems the same, tho) and some pain and was very afraid, but the apricot seeds almost immediately took care of the pain and, over time, the lump went away, too. Every time I ran out of seeds the pain returned and the lump seemed worse again, so I made sure I didn't run out of seeds again for about 6 months ... then went off the seeds for several months, only recently going back. Now, a year later, there is no lump, no pain, and I'm only taking the seeds only occasionally and have started on the little amygdalin (B17) tablets with the zinc citrate daily, and so far, so good! I'm at 4 years post lumpectomy and going strong. All during the 4 years (until recently) I had even refused x-rays or any more tests that included radiation of any kind. I'm a chronic pain patient (back problems), tho, so my primary care has been worried about metastases in the form of bone cancer in my spine, so I recently relented and had x-rays, an MRI, and nuclear bone scan. I knew (really believed) that I didn't have bone cancer but I, unfortunately, had to convince my primary care and pain management of that before I could be treated further for the back pain. I feel that I was blackmailed into those tests, but I had to bite the bullet and do them anyway. Besides I had reinjured my spine somewhere along the way and needed to know how badly.I know I've spread this review out, but I wanted to give a little background about why one should read and trust this book ... maybe some of you have had similar experiences to mine. Get the book, read/study every word ... take notes if you have to but take it seriously and take responsibility for your own health. Talk to others and pass this information along to those you know and love. The information you need is in this book (and others), so you don't have to blindly trust the medical establishment. They are owned by the drug companies (a fact), and they don't care about you except for how much money they can squeeze from you while you are still alive. Also, be careful of the wolf in sheep's clothing. I've seen them try many different approaches to get your signature of approval to let them experiment on you with something that might very well kill you instead of cure you. They still won't completely leave me alone. Now, every time they mention anything about cancer treatment to me, I say I'm taking the "wait and see" approach, which is a valid reason to a doctor (whether they like it or not). Even changing doctors doesn't help after you tell them about a cancer diagnosis. Sometimes I just want to leave that information out on the forms. "Cancer patient" is a label that I can live without. Now that we have mandatory health insurance in this country, everyone should be able to be treated with allopathic medicine (insurance ensures the drug companies will be paid!), and I'm sure that's just what they all wanted! So think about taking a holistic approach ... or, if you're unsure, you could always use both approaches (complimentary medicine). Personally, I think doctors are needed more to set broken bones and other such emergency-room procedures. So much of what we are utilizing doctors for wouldn't even exist with the right foods and supplements. If you have been diagnosed with cancer, don't let them brow beat you or snow you with their medical opinion, which might be a little slanted. You have the right to decide what your treatment should be but allopathic doctors aren't going to tell you about alternative approaches. Never mind that alternative treatments aren't covered by insurance (another ball of wax that peeves me!) ... many alternative treatments don't cost that much. It's your life ... take responsibility. Read this book and others. The information is more available now than it's ever been. Be thankful for that. I just wish I'd had this information years ago so I could have helped so many that I love and lost. Of course, not everyone will believe but, for me, I'm a pretty good example to show others that I follow what I believe and that they can too. Be aware, tho, that some people will always want to take the easy path in trusting others to do everything and make decisions for them. I just don't get it, but to each his own. It just takes some longer to wake up to the truth that profits are more important than lives. I used to be that naive, too. It's good that things are beginning to change and some doctors are trying to integrate holistic and allopathic medicine, but the insurance companies are lagging behind in that area. I guess that when the drug companies find a way to patent "more natural" cures, the insurance companies will find a way to approve those treatments, but I'm not sure how safe the supposedly "more natural" drugs will be. Messing with mother nature can be deadly. When reading reviews for "World Without Cancer" (book without the DVD), be sure to pay extra special attention to the review written by "TheFallingDutchman." She is a much better example of what the information in this book can do for you! And, above all, find a way to have joy, peace, calm, and hope in your life. They alone can work miracles!

A must read book for anyone who has cancer or wants to prevent it
I purchased this book as my father has advanced prostate cancer and I wanted to find out more about B17. I came across the potential benefits of B17 (laetrile / amygdalin) in the form of bitter apricot kernels through Ty Bollinger's book - 31 Day Home Cancer Cure The 31-Day Home Cancer Cure(an excellent read for anyone who has cancer or wishes to prevent cancer using alternative approaches). My father has been taking the bitter apricot kernels for the last 9 months and his PSA reading has dropped dramatically (165 to 13).Having said this there are numerous bad reviews about B17 and the bitter apricot kernels all over the internet (conventional view is that bitter apricot kernels don't work and are extremely dangerous as they release cyanide and can kill you in a 'high enough dose'). So my big questions were:1. What is the scientific evidence for B17 and cancer treatment?2. If it works, why is it not a recommended option offered by GPs and consultants?3. Who else has taken bitter apricot kernels and what have their results been? How do these results compare to conventional treatments of surgery, radiation treatments, chemo or hormone treatments?4. Ultimately (and my only purpose for reading this) - after researching things, do I still think taking bitter apricot kernels is doing my dad more good than harm? Should he continue with them?As part of my research, I bought this book, along with Laetrile Case Histories Laetrile Case Histories; The Richardson Cancer Clinic Experience, Cancer, Metabolic Therapy and Laetrile Cancer, metabolic therapy, and laetrile: A case history, with discussion of clinical application and materials used, B15 The Miracle Vitamin B15, Miracle Vitamin and Vitamin B15 (Pangamic Acid) Properties, Functions and Use Vitamin B15 (Pangamic Acid : Properties, Functions and Use).So how has this book helped me in my quest? I found this particular book to be extremely informative for several reasons:1. This is the first time I have come across the theory that cancer is the result of a 'vitamin' deficiency - B17. (This is a very controversial theory and much disputed in medical circles). I say 'vitamin', as B17 is not a recognized / acknowledged vitamin by the FDA.2. It explains the mechanism of how B17 works on cancer cells. In essence, it is true that bitter apricot kernels release cyanide - however, this is only true in the case of cancer cells, as they produce an enzyme that 'unlocks' the cyanide - and in fact it is this unlocked cyanide that kills the cancer cell.3. Provides some interesting statistics on long-term survival of cancer patients using nutritional therapy Vs conventional cancer treatments, along with some anecdotal case histories.4. Provides an insightful history on the politics of cancer treatment. It is really important to understand this, before passing judgment on whether alternative therapies work. If you know anyone who says "If it worked my consultant would have recommended it" - get them to read the second half of this book.In summary, this is a very well written book and a must read for anyone who has cancer, knows someone who has cancer or who wants to minimize their chances of getting cancer. I would recommend reading it cover to cover, rather than dipping in and out - as the chapters build on each other. Personally, I found it an easy and fascinating read. Of the books I have read, this was the best introduction to B17 and also one of the best on the politics of cancer treatments. (As an aside, Hoxsey Therapy: When Natural Cures for Cancer Became Illegal is an alarming first hand account of the politics of cancer treatment Hoxsey Therapy: When Natural Cures for Cancer Became Illegal; the Autobiogaphy of Harry Hoxsey, ND.For those that are interested, my conclusion (based on all of my research to date) is that my dad should continue with the bitter apricot kernels (he does about 25 per day in lots of 5 or 6 throughout the day) - and not only that, it has opened my eyes and I have started taking them myself as a preventative approach. I continue my research...

Another Dynamite Book by Griffin
Case closed everyone. Like “The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve,” Griffin has exposed to the bone the criminality and corruption of the chemical and pharmaceutical establishment… but it doesn’t end there. It’s all tied together. These vitamins and therapies have been banned and demonized wrongly. While I don’t feel they are the only cure for cancer, it is remarkable the lengths big money will go to to ensure they are the only ones to possess the “patented” therapies for the maladies they and their counterparts inflict. You can’t patent vitamins or the therapies they banned, which is why they banned them.Look no further than G. Edward Griffin to take you on the intellectual rollercoasters of this age. He is a riveting author, a studite investigative researcher, and a brilliant storyteller. Time to jump in… just know ahead of time, you can never jump out.

Good book for complete picture of FDA, AMA Big Pharma/Cartels & how B17 works
I used this book to learn about the study of B17 & cancer. The book is difficult for most lay people to understand. The BEST area if the book was related to how enzymes in the body work to help B17 to assist in attacking just the cancer. It must b understood finding a Dr assist with this as a cancer therapy in any given state is nearly impossible & people have placed so much faith in the FDA, AMA, & your physicians overall knowledge of alternative therapy makes it a very hard sell for people to read, let alone try. I don't understand how people out so much faith in treatments that either burns your tissue or destroys all your cells to assist in healing. If you want the overall story of not just how B17 works you WILL get it along with other things stated above.
