Q: Would the leggett & platt adjustable bed 2" inch riser legs work in place of the legs provided with this adjustable base? they have m8 metric thread.

This base comes with adjustable legs. I don't know anything about leggett & platt adjustable bed 2" inch riser legs.

Q: does the queen come with set-up option? i see all others have a set-up option (and price).

Yes. It says Queen or Queen without setup. Just select the Queen which means you want the bed setup for you.
