My first impression of this coffee was that it tastes exactly like coffee ! That may be a funny statement, but it is true so many coffees have additional flavors or their own character. This really is just that good plain coffee taste with no lingering flavors. If you could imagine stopping into a diner or something and being pleasantly surprised with how good the coffee was, it would taste like that.

Q: How do you know this is 100% brazilian coffee? the packaging does not seem to comply with current fda regulations concerning country of origin?

POLICY:Food labeling statements regarding geographical origin must not be false or misleading in any particular. FDA's policy prohibiting false or misleading labeling of food applies equally to imported and domestic productsIt is 100% Brazilian coffee.

Q: How old is the typical bag sold here on Amazon? Will the coffee have been roasted a few days or weeks ago before getting to the Amazon warehouse?

I ordered Fulfilled by Amazon, shipped 2/22, the roast date on the bag is 7/26.

Q: Are the beans tested for Mycotoxins?

In short: Yes as stated in the description below (from the header). "MOLD AND MYCOTOXIN TESTED - This coffee has undergone a full screening and has been declared toxicologically safe and compliant. Third-party testing was not able to detect any trace levels of mold, Aflatoxin or Ochratoxcin in these sampled coffees."
