These do have a high arch, but none of it goes under the foot. It is flat as can be under the arch then goes straight up the side of the foot very high. Within 15 minutes of switching to these, the pain in my heel (the reason I need arch supports) was back and I had to switch back to my old ones and start shopping for a new pair again.

Because I have high arches, i was somewhat skeptical about the product. I ordered one pair about a year ago, and have really enjoyed them since. I ordered another pair for a different pair of shoes a couple month ago. I no longer have heel and/or arch pain. My feet used to just feel "tired", but after using these insoles, I enjoy walking.

I have been wearing custom arch support for 60 years. I have been using Aetrex High Arch for 5 or 6 years.It is impossible for me to walk without pain unless I wear Aetrex in my shoes. I have purchased over 20 pairsto fit in all of my shoes. They are terrific, what more can I say.

The high arch description is false. They also died rather quickly in a few months.

I expected the inserts to have a more full insole support.
