G.H. Cretors Popcorn Just The Cheese Corn, 6.5-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)

This is the kind of cheese popcorn that's rich in flavor and leaves a savory sensation on the tongue and a smooth layer of light cheesy grease on your fingertips. It's great stuff, second only to Garret's or perhaps CucuRuza (if I'm remembering the spelling right, I don't see them on Amazon anymore). Some Walmarts carry this brand for roughly $3 dollars per 6.5 ounce bag, which is the same rate I was able to get when I ordered a box directly from Amazon (NOT a third party seller, who gouge up to twice the price). If you can, wait until you can get the popcorn for that same rate. It's not easy to find in stores, and when you do it's usually more than three dollars per bag (which, if you're like me, will be gone within an hour). Just be prepared: If you want the reasonable Amazon price you may have to wait a while, this stuff flies out of stock. It's worth it though - from my checking around this is the tastiest gourmet style cheddar popcorn, utilizing "mushroom" style kernels and without TOO many hulls or shells (though you WILL encounter some). Also a quick word of advice: This stuff is pretty tender so don't leave the bag sitting open for more than 15 or 20 minutes at a time, it will start to lose its crunch. Great stuff, just a little on the expensive side, so try to get it cheap!

Best cheese popcorn ever!! I love popcorn in general, but have never really found a packaged popcorn that I love. I get the cans over the holidays, but it always seems stale when I open it. I was craving caramel popcorn a few weeks ago - something I can't make myself - and picked up this brand at the store. The best!! So, I went on Amazon to get a box of the stuff and saw that G.H. also made cheese corn. I had to get it. Awesome. The popcorn is gourmet - big and fluffy. The cheese is good also. Kind of has a little snap to it. One review said it didn't leave the cheese on their fingers - it did mine. Not annoyingly so, but just enough to lick off. I will definitely be buying this again!

I grew up with Topsy's popcorn in Kansas City -- so that's my point of comparison. This Cretors "Just The Cheese" corn is good -- no doubt about it. It's not *too* salty, and there's a definitely cheesy flavor about it. Topsy's is probably a little cheesier, but this is close. It's not to damaging from a diet standpoint, either -- 2 C serving = 170 calories -- not fantastic, but not devastating, either. Still on the fence about putting this on subscribe and save -- but it was definitely worth trying. It's better than I expected, so that's a good thing.

Both my wife and I are addicted to this brand and flavor. Wow. Incredible snack.

The popcorn was not shipped in the original box. All bags where laying down and where popped, the bags of popcorn were popped causing the product to have a weird taste. I threw it all away after one taste. Total fail.

****DOUBLE UPDATE**** I humbly submit to this product's deliciousness...I ordered a second batch. ****UPDATE**** So, the first bag I tried...there's no doubt it was extremely salty. But then I had another and another...and unless somehow my taste buds became used to the saltiness OR there really was something up with the first bag, each bag after the first was fine. Yes, perhaps a tad more salt than I'd prefer but, overall, really good. The cheese is really a great flavor. I mean, you can power thru a bag in 10-15 minutes. So, to be fair, either the first bag really had an issue or I simply wasn't used to the flavor because now I'm pretty much addicted. Good stuff! 😁 I always look to customer reviews before purchasing most anything on Amazon. Sadly, I have to agree with the small percentage that stated that this popcorn is far TOO SALTY. If you enjoy it, great. It's not the worst cheese popcorn I've ever eaten but I was really looking forward to it after reading the reviews. Most were extremity favorable. I read the negative reviews, too, and most said as I am..too salty. The cheese flavor is decent but it's being far outweighed by saltiness. I'll possibly eat another bag or two over time but the others I will pass along to friends with a warning about the extreme saltiness. On a positive note, this is probably the very first "junk food" bag that was bursting at the seams. The bags are filled to the top which was something I noticed right away...no half-filled bags here. Again, I wanted to LOVE this cheese popcorn as I watched the Stanley Cup finals but the overabundance of salt won't have me buying this product again.

We previously purchased the Chicago mix and enjoyed it, but after awhile the caramel was just too prominent. Everyone loved the cheese corn in the pack so we had to try the Just The Cheese Corn. Everyone loved it. The cheese is a great flavor, the popcorn has a great texture. I agree that there are lots of hulls in the popcorn, but most of them were floating around in the bottom of the package. The ones in the corn were no more intrusive than any other kind of fresh popped popcorn. I think people have gotten so used to microwaved popcorn that has been grown specifically for smaller less noticeable hulls people have forgotten was true home popped popcorn used to be like less than 15 years ago, This reminds me of great home popped popcorn but even better....I can't get the cheese coating like this at home, plus I didn't have to pop it myself! After our last party were we went through several bags, this will be a staple in our house and it is now on our subscribe and save delivery schedule.

Firstly, I ordered from Amazon, and the delivery was flawless, popcorn arrived fresh. While this popcorn appears to be top quality, the taste isnt as good as some other, likely lower quality, popcorn I've tried. I like Smartfood popcorn and the Chicago style cheese popcorn from Walgreens, oddly enough.
