Simplified Magic: A Beginner's Guide to the New Age Quabala (Llewellyn's new age series)

This is THE BOOK that I was doing the exercises out of when I had my first FULLY CONSCIOUS, interdimensional experience.The exercises are well written, easy to follow and perfect for the beginner or experienced practitioner alike. Ted Andrews is a fantastic writer and teacher. If you actually DO the exercises, I guarantee, you will NOT be disappointed. The only thing I'd like to see added to this work is a chapter on how to "Not Give into Shock and/or Astonishment" (allowing oneself to become 'astonished' when an exercise actually DOES what it says it will do, can give you a bit of 'psychic/etheric whiplash' that'll make you feel 'shaky' and slightly 'disconnected' and possibly a little nauseous. Remain calm, and all will be well).I consider this one of my very favorite occult books and I'm rarely caught out and about without a tattered copy tucked away on my person somewhere.INVALUABLE as an introduction to the Qabala (the NEWER, updated edition is entitled "Simplified Qabala Magic".) There are two companion books that go with this one, but I'll let you research those on your own. Big smiley face.

Ted was a wonderful teacher. We were blessed by having gotten to attend classes led by Ted for $10/15 a week. Little did we know... he was truly a gift in my life.

If you were thinking about learning a little about Kabbalah this is a good place to start. It was the first book I read and found it easy to understand and very helpful.

I really like this book, it is very easy to read, and it makes crossing over or adding to your beliefs simple.

Beginners in the study of Hermetic Qabala should read this book, it is easier to read than others on this topic and provides very good info.

These exercises have helped me over many a difficult time; practise makes perfectand I go back time and time again to the exercises.
