I love that this free of artificial food dyes and was safety-sealed/wrapped, too! Description notes nut-free but after receiving product there is no mention of manufacturing facility info on container. Upon contacting the seller, the seller quickly confirmed that although there are no nuts in this product it is not made in a peanut-free and/or tree nut-free facility. I bought to use for my son's galaxy-themed birthday party goodies; unfortunately, I cannot do so now as we will have young guests that have these allergies and I was hoping to offer homemade treats that were safe for all. Just wanted to let potential buyers know who may have to keep allergies in mind. Seems difficult to find the combo of natural/nut-free facility/good price-point in one product. Thought I had it here. My search continues. :( Knocked off a star for unclear labeling and description. Otherwise, this is a cool option for those looking to stay away from food dyes and who do not have to think about peanut/tree nut allergies. Great CS by Seller who was quick to respond and rectify.

I purchased this orange sugar back in the fall of 2019 to make candy corn shaped sugar cookies for my son's pre-school class. I needed the colors orange, yellow and white. I had yellow...but needed white and orange. I loved that this product was made in the USA...so that is what sold me on it. When the product arrived it was bright orange...just as you would expect. While I was getting all my supplies ready, I noticed that I did have orange sanding sugar...so I used my old product first. I had enough so I did not even have to open this new one. Fast forward until yesterday 06/09/2020...I was adding something to the shelf where I keep my baking products and saw this off white sugar with some faint peach coloring at the top. I looked at it and it was my unused...unopened container of Hobbyland Orange Sugar. It was completely faded! There was no color except for some faint peach crystals at the very top...the rest of the container was off-white. The top is sealed with the plastic wrap that says "sealed for your protection" and the expiration date on the bottle is "Best By May 2021"! I am VERY disappointed to say the least. I have sanding sugar for YEARS that is the same vibrant color as when it was purchased. Sadly, I will never buy a hobbyland baking product again!

These sprinkles are so bright, you’d never know they were natural! We have several families that have children with food due allergies and they all felt so special that they could partake in the dessert with everyone else! This was a nice alternative to natural dyesnfor frosting that can be lackluster. The bright sprinkles caked on the frosting gave me the color effect I wanted. (See photo)

I would not call this “bright blue” or “royal blue.” I bought it specifically for a pinning ceremony (a nurse’s graduation event) to make the whole zoom/online experience more meaningful. It tasted fine and stuck easily all the same.****in the photo, it is mixed with silver/sparkle glitter from the same brand. I would give that one 5 stars!Nothing wrong with quality/texture/taste— just not the color blue advertised.

I was looking for a rainbow sanding sugar mix. Turns out there just are not many out there, so I thought I give this one a try. The picture was pretty accurate in terms of color. One disappointing aspect was that not all of the sugar crystals were the same size. I would say there were two or three different sizes. The reason this was an issue, was that only certain colors were certain sizes, so if the purple were the largest size it was the most dominant color when I was really looking for a multi color mix. Also the smaller crystals seemed to fall to the bottom of the mix so if you didn’t shake the bottle well before using you may not get all of the colors when sprinkling.

Not as bright as pictured, I expected it to be a little more orange than it was. You could barely tell it was orange.

So grateful to find a product that doesn't have artificial food dye!

Love that it works just like any other sanding sugar but that I don't have to worry about artificial coloring. Some members of my family are sensitive so this meant pretty cookies without any worries! Thank you Hobbyland! Will buy again!
