The shoes look have that classic vans look, which I like. Apparently the "Pro" version of Authentic comes with a cushier insole. I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate that, but it does turn the shoe from being a "zero-drop" (flat with no heel elevation) to a shoe with slight heel elevation. Furthermore, it adds some cushion inside the shoe, which means that as you walk, your foot is compressing the insole...and your heel is rubbing up and down on the inside of the shoe. This hasn't caused a problem for me, but I'm considering removing the insole and replacing it with something less cushy.
