It's got a high quality feel
We use this Spot in the bedroom, and like most anyone else the idea of a rogue camera in such a personal space was an issue. This product fit the bill - small and unobtrusive, and promising high quality metal finish.Once we had it in our hands, we found it easy to install, and certainly easy to use. There are two covers in the pack, along with a set of wipes and stickers for easing installation - much like a mobile phone screen protector provides. The cover plates are metal that conforms closely to the Spot contours, and the actual dot that covers the camera is a separate magnet rather than the expected attached button that slides in the track. You do have to be careful not to cover the light sensor when installing, which is very close to the camera and very hard to see. We found that bright sunlight was useful in identifying the sensor location. We suggest making sure that the left edge of the larger camera groove is very closely aligned to the left edge of the camera lens itself, and that you make sure the top edge of the camera plate is aligned to the edge of the glass cover of the Spot. This seemed to place everything perfectly for us.I've attached photos of the packaging, contents, and after shots showing the installed cover in both the open and closed positions. Hope this helps in making your decision to purchase or not!

Fantastic!
This works brilliantly! My boyfriend wasn't going to let me keep the spot on my nightstand (he said it was him or the spot, lol) because of the camera. I'm inclined to agree. The privacy invasion/convenience of a voice-assistant trade-off where Alexa is concerned is becoming troubling. However, against my better instincts, I'm absolutely smitten. I love that I can see my front door via my Nest Hello without having to scramble for my phone. I also love all of the little alarm clock features and the ability to control my hue lights. I've really drunk the Kool-Aid. I know have two spots, a show, two dots, and the original echo. My bf was fine until the cameras came along. So, long story short, these little guys worked like a charm, and I now have Alexa in my bedroom, and I get to keep my bf! The covers are sturdy, fit perfectly, practically disappear once affixed, and afford one the ability to maintain some semblance of privacy. For what more could one ask? Plus, you get two!

Fit perfectly and doesn't obscure the light sensor
It's one of these small things that makes you wonder why it was not designed into the Echo Spot in the first place. Like many, I too was freaked by the notion of realizing that the Spot had a webcam that could be accessed from the internet and had no intention of allowing anyone to see what's going on in my bedroom and had zero trust in the reliability of disabling the webcam through the menu. This cover is shaped and designed to match the Spot curvature, it doesn't block or obscure the light sensor and the magnetic shutter cover the webcam perfectly. The shutter magnet is strong enough to hold it in place while still allowing it to slide across the cutout.

Easy to install and looks good!
Bought this for my Echo Spot (obviously). It was easy to install. I didn't really use the included wipe, as I have my trustworthy microfiber cloth for that. After cleaning the surface, I just peel the sticker and carefully place the cover over the camera and hold my hands over it for like a minute. It looks really good and doesn't block the ambient sensor! In a so-so-lit room, I can barely tell the cover was there (see last pic). (The 2 middle pics are with flash on, so you can see clearly how it looks when the cover is on/off the camera.)On the first day, I accidentally swipe my hand up fast to dismiss a timer and knock the cover off. Now, I've learned to be careful when swiping up (ie. decent swiping speed but trying not to touch the cover too hard). So far, it has managed to still stay on the Spot and hasn't fallen off (2 months and counting). I think it's semi-permanent. If you try to get it off the Spot, it will come off (which is a good thing for the Spot resell). But if you don't try to get it off or hit it too hard, it'll stay on and won't fall off.Overall, it's a must have item for the Spot if you value your privacy. Highly recommended!

great camera lens cover for your Echo Spot
Covers are low profile and do a good job covering the camera lens without (AFAICT) messing with the ambient light sensor. Curved shape is a great aesthetic match for the Spot and MUCH nicer than the electrical tape I was using previously.Note that the sliding disc is held to the frame magnetically. This allows the overall cover to be thinner, but does mean that the disc can pop off if you attempt to slide it past the end of the channel. You'll get a feel for where the end of the groove is after a few slides back and forth.Definitely worth the money so I can use my Spot as a bedside alarm clock without getting the willies that there's a network-connected camera pointed at me all night. :-)

Curvy
Was a little troublesome applying it onto my screen protector. Something about it that I had to bend it a little bit. I mean barely. It was slightly lifted from the screen. Once that was fixed it serves its purpose. Seems magnetic which is what keeps the cover on. Simply cool enough to work.

Be careful when you swipe up!
This cover does what it's supposed to, but be careful when you swipe up on the face of the device. I knocked the cover off. Once I re-positioned it, and used care when swiping through options, it's fine.

Works as described
I know you can turn off the camera in the setting but I feel much better with it covered since both of mine are used as clocks in the bedrooms. This is perfect for that job, it doesn't cover up the light sensor and you are able to cover or show the camera without it blocking any of the screen.
