Q: Does this pump have a timer or is it running all the time?

This pump does not have a timer on the pump. There are different controls you can use in conjunction with it, but in most outoodr wood boiler applications, the pump would run continuously.

Q: I've got a groundfos up 26-99 f that went bad what difference does the up(s) 26-99 f(c) have from my pump that went bad?

not sure . I think the c is for check valve . you can reserch on line what the letters designate. I removed the check valve as I do not need that function. My aplication is on fish pond. make sure that the shaft is horizontal , not vert. as picture or electrical box up. I have been using this for over 20 years ( several pumps)

Q: How do I make sure I have 1 1/4" flanges and how do I get the flange kit for attaching to pipe? I can do threaded or welded flanges.

Measure ID An Attaching Threaded Flange kit came with my pump .

Q: Will this work for an outdoor wood boiler with a 300 foot loop and two heat exchangers?

Yes, I was overly concerned on my install and put 2 pumps in . 400 Kbtu boiler , shop home and dhw, overall , except really windy cold spells it was waste of expensive plumbing ,( but nice to have back up redundancy) . At 15 yrs , the 3 speed switch got brittle and had to be bypassed with a soldered jumper in the control box ,but the pump is still 100% good . At the price of pumps these days a 2 pump system is definitely an expense consideration.
