Our son really likes this drum. It makes a lovely sound and is of good quality. Ours is fully in tune, and the two little drumsticks that come with it are great. The tunes booklet is in Chinese, but the numbers are recognisable to play tunes... or just make your own tunes up (it's tuned CDEFGABC with 8 "tongues" to tap).The only negative was having to pay a customs charge of £11.56! Otherwise I'd probably give it 5 stars. Amazon should make it much clearer when items are coming from sellers who are outside of the UK, since the customs charge put the price up by about 20%. :o(

This is truly a beautiful little kettle drum, with a lovely relaxing sound. I bought it for my autistic 6 year old and initially hesitated to spend the money. However I'm so glad I ended up buying it, as it's really soothing for her, and we both enjoy playing it. She's not interested in learning to read normal music, but this comes with a lovely little song book, where each note is given a number, matching the numbers on the drum. Because she loves numbers so much, my little girl is actually loving learning how to play the tunes in the book. As an additional bonus, the drum comes with a beautiful Aztec design storage bag, which is also of excellent quality. Don't be put off by the price, as you actually get quite a lot for the money, and it's all top quality. It's actually excellent value for money, and I heartily recommend it.

Good quality instrument and good sound. A good budget alternative to some of the expensive larger drums. I've really enjoyed playing it. The only downside is the music book that comes with it is in a chinese language, but that is to be expected as the instrument comes from China. English instructions would make it perfect.

I wasn’t aware that the music book inside was in Chinese? Is there not an English version available? It is not clear on the description. That’s the only disappointing thing. Can you send the English version please?

Sounds blissful and so easy to play. Very good quality. The bag it stores in is very well made and ideal if you want to take it with you. I love it and enjoy playing around with it because even if you can’t follow music, it sounds good anyway.

Love this little drum. It's compact but makes a beautiful sound. You don't need to be musical to enjoy it. Very pleased with purchase.

I love the sound these instruments make and this is a good value entry level version which comes with a nice carrying case. It's something even a small child can safely have a go at (when they are past the stage of chewing the sticks!) Easy to store and a lovely thing to add to a collection of instruments.

really simple musical instrument complete with musical book. Easy to make a lovely sound and follow the numbers to play tunes - i will be buying more to make a band with my cubs and Beaversvery very happy with this !
