Classic Ghee 16oz

I've been sampling ghee. Wow. They can be wildly different. This one is currently my very favorite. Love that it is organic, grass fed. To me - it smells exactly like freshly toasted and butter bread. It has a lovely, rich butter flavor. It's way too expensive. But so good. It's fun to experiment cooking with Ghee which is butter that has had the milk solids removed. You could make your own. Probably more economical. But I love this brand. Also, it's a glass jar! No plastic. I say it's worth a try if you're trying ghee! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. The color is a rich yellow color and the taste is flavorful. This is the best ghee I’ve ever had before! And it comes in a GLASS jar instead of a plastic one which is healthier and more eco friendly. I will purchase again when I run out!

I only use ghee in my coffee to avoid lactose. It’s the only dairy I can’t & don’t want to kick.Usually I don’t have phlegm but with this product I do.And because of the rich creamy flavor & texture, I question how long they actually cooked this for.Seems like they may have short-cut the process to get a certain flavor, texture.When I make my own ghee, it’s a long tedious process but the result does not elicit phlegm and the taste is terrifically carmelized. But not quite this creamy.Therefore, even though the flavor is delicious, I’ll use it only for cooking and will purchase a different one next time. IMO, 4th & Heart is better and Ancient Nutrition is the best but more expensive.If you’re only looking for a high smoke-point ghee then it’s good. But if you’re also trying to avoid the phlegm, then I can’t recommend it.

I love the flavor of Brown Butter and this brand of ghee delivers. Occasionally this company is out of stock on this product so now I keep one jar in advance of my subscription and so far that has worked out. I have tried another brand of brown butter ghee and could tell immediately, from the smell, that it was not of the same quality. I use this in my morning Bullet Proof Coffee, and anything else I can apply it, like English muffins, steak, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, etc., you get the idea.
