Hot stuff!
Has a fresh kick! After opening, I put it in a Ziploc to make sure I don't make a mess!

Used as deterrent for my neighborhood moles vole and chipmunks, instead of poisons.
I use it for pest control in place of those nasty poisons that harm many creatures other than what you’re targeting

Fine, but not very hot
What can I say? I was specifically looking for a red pepper powder purporting to be particularly hot. There's nothing really wrong with this product considered as a pepper powder, except that it claims to be "Xtra Hot," and I would say it's just, mildly hot. The flavor is nice enough, but it's just not very hot. Now, I know, one person's perception of hotness can vary widely from another's. But to my taste, and in comparison to the red pepper powder I was replacing after running out (a brand I don't remember, purchased at an international market), it just doesn't get me where I wanted to be. To achieve the same degree of hotness, I need to use quite a bit more of this powder--perhaps 4 - 5 times as much. And, no, if you're wondering, my other powder was NOT Jolokia pepper. I had some of that once (and it was awesome), but it was MUCH hotter than what I just finished up. For me, personally, I wouldn't buy it again. But I may like things hotter than others do.
