Love this pasta!
We bought this pasta as a substitute for pastina (tiny star pasta) for a recipe, since we couldn't find any. I've actually never had the pastina so I can't make a comparison, but this pasta was amazing in this recipe. I love how tiny it is, and I love the chew it has if cooked al dente. We've since bought several more boxes of this, as we make our new favorite recipe often. Totally recommend!

Acini Di Pepe All Al Di Sopra Cuchina...e Feetah (Piedi)...e Stufa!
I don't need to hear from other Amazonites about how this should go somewhere else. All buyers should be aware the condition of this food that they may receive. De Cecco needs to revisit it's packaging, as does Amazon. I bought six boxes. They were "packed" in a baggy, loose, crackly plastic bag in a giant box, and both were full of pasta. I guess the bag "crackled" open at spots. Despite a couple of air-baggies that were tossed into the box, three of the soft, paperboard boxes were smashed to different degrees. (...from the weight of themselves bashing against each other!) The micro-pasta was even leaking out of the closed boxes because they are so tiny and the company can't put enough glue on the seams of the box to keep it from leaking out. They should use a plastic bag inside, or simply sell it in sealed plastic bags. I ended up, while trying to figure out what to do to keep from losing the pasts, because of the continuous leakage of sand-like pasta from box, bags, and big box, I finally put all of the pasta in screw-lid Ball jars, empty pickle jars, etc. The pasta is a delight. I'm not much of a cook, and the pasta is so small that I have no strainer small enough to drain it. It goes into soups, stews, and cooked with tiny amounts of borth...borth...you know borth? It's the "natural" chemical stuff similar to the juices you get from cooked meats except there is NO meat in it. Per the FDA guidelines, the borth company jerks the meat through water quickly to make it, then adds a cup of salt and "natural flavorings." [Want to scare yourself? Look up "natural flavorings."]. *snicker*...almost like broth. *wry grin*

It was Fresh ,Quick & flavorful. I recommend this product
I bought a multi pack and if you want perfection, That’s just asking too much. These are billions of tiny beads of pasta. It came fresh and it came quick. The boxes were packaged together in a big sealed thick plastic bag and then placed in a shipping box, and a few of The tiny beats of pasta came out of the box’s (but my gosh) that’s to be expected. They were fresh, clean & Unarmed . I have a difficult time finding this product on any groceries shelf, and I’m glad to be able to have a way of purchasing it . Sometimes I like to take about 3 tablespoons and cook it up put it in a bowl with some butter, salt and pepper and a little milk just for a snack. They’re very tasty. I’m glad I was able to get my hands on some. I was raised with these noodles and can’t find them in the stores . I would highly recommend this product.

Best Italian Pastina
In the old days, I would make Pastina for my children. Boil, add a scrambled egg just before I take it off the stove. Then add lots of Butter and salt and dash of milk. Now the grown boys and married come over and say Mom, can you make me some Pastina. It’s a family tradition.
