10 Heritage Red Raspberry Plants - Free Plant Boost Included! Bare-Root Large 2-Year 18-24" Trimmed Canes

I received 10 "sticks" wrapped in bundles of 5 with paper wrapped around the roots. I put them in a bucket of water to soften up the paper and release the roots. Had to gently unwrap roots to prevent tearing then planted each stick. So far nine of them have sprouted leaves and are looking great. I may have one dud but a 90% success rate is pretty good. A few of the plants are actually flowering although I would be surprised if I get any berries this season. I live in northern Florida so I don't know how they will do long term, but I am hopeful. Overall a good deal for trying my hand at growing raspberries.

they are so much shorter than they are supposed to be and once being in the soil they look even shorter than they are. I do not know how I can grow lots of berries on these short canes. I did not notice this right away, but going back to my order after planting I realize they should have been much taller.Hopefully I will get some berries from these since I paid over 70 dollars for 10, and that's quite a bit of money for a potential loss.Update 5/14/21: All canes are dead, no growth after transplanting them to the outside. Here are some pictures of some of the 10 canes I ordered to show how short these canes really are. As you can clearly see once planted in the ground they come up to about 6-8 inches at most. Sadly I wasted 80+ dollars and my dream of eating fresh raspberries in the summer is down the drain...

Planted them according to instructions within 3 days. It was great to have the phone number for the seller. He talked us through the questions we had. Half of the plants showed signs of growth within 2 weeks... the others showed growth within 4 weeks. All are healthy plants and growing beautifully now...

Location: Northwoods of Wisconsin. In June of 2021, we purchased 10 canes - Heritage Red Raspberry plants, 2-year, bare poot. They looked like sticks but we planted them (with care) despite that and the concern that our soil did not have enough sand. The next year of '22 we had 50 bearing canes. with the sweetest most delicious berries I have ever tasted! Now, it is 2023 and we can hardly imagine how many more will produce at the rate they have been growing. We canned jam and dehydrated them for eating through the winter and baking. We value great customer service and Hand Picked Nursery is the best of the best. HPN provided great communication, and the products looked and were as described. They were carefully wrapped and shipped quickly and responded to a question we had the very next day! The berries are large, bright red, juicy, and oh-so-sweet. Because the harvest was so bountiful, we shared and our neighbors think so too! If you want large, sweet & delicious raspberries every year, this is the place to get'em.

Really healthy canes! These little guys were sending up shoots in the first week they were in the ground. They are growing very well and I'm looking forward to a harvest next year. If this grower has blackberry canes, I will be ordering them next spring. Thanks for growing great plants!

Bought two sets of 5 bare root plants. 1 of the 10 failed to sprout and is just a dead stick. Of the 9 alive some are doing better than others with a couple struggling with only 3" to 4" sprouts. This is mid-July and I would expect all to 2 feet tall. Only 3 of the 9 alive have reach the 2 foot mark. All were planted and treated in the same way as there all in the same row. Planted a different variety of bare root raspberries at the same time and all 10 are thriving at 4 plus feet tall. So at this point in time I can't recommend buy from this seller.

Every single one of the canes came up so strong. The stuff form HomeDepot had to be returned because it failed. The roots that were sent in this order were very bushy and strong. Very pleased and excited for years of growth to come!
