Assurant 3-Year Tablet Protection Plan with Accidental Damage ($1000-$1249.99)

product protection -- purchase was easy, but I'm not sure how to know if I'm actually covered.

we'll see if we need it got it for my son on his surface for college.

They sell this as "accidental" protection, but when you have an accident, they find any reason they can to deny coverage. I was carrying my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 in my vehicle when I was hit by another car. A fire ensued and destroyed the Microsoft Surface. Assurant denied coverage stating:"Unfortunately the Assurant 360 Protection plan does not cover damage by fire, please see section 21 of the terms and conditions where this is stated. With your tablet being destroyed in the fire we would have to deny this claim under your plan. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."In fact, the provision quoted disclaims coverage for pretty much EVERYTHING.Don't waste your money.

Assurant protection plan was great. We had a plan for 3 years. With just a couple of months left to go on the plan our tablet's screen cracked. We don't know how it happened. Assurant sent us to a shop to assess what needed to be done. Turned out the tablet was beyond repair and Assurant replaced it without any problem at all. Great customer service. Thank you.

entering month 3 of what looks like a 3-year battle. i suggest saving the $200 you would be spending on this warranty and putting it towards your new computer. Rating 1/5 because -8/5 isnt an option.

Don't bother. They will find any reason to not help you fix your product. Waste of time and money.
