I have owned and installed 8 of these switches in my house. The first time I did it I had no electrical experience so I had to watch a bunch of YouTube videos to get a little understanding on how switches in general work. That being said with time and patience I figured it out. Now if you are familiar with all this I would definitely say installation is quite simple. It comes with everything you need there are no functional design problems with this product. However it is bulkier than your regular non wifi switch so be prepared to make space for that by shortening wires. So everything fits in the box.Once that was done you just install the app and it will walk you through the install. The switches run off of 2.4ghz. Every router has two different options. 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Now if you have a router that displays both options in your list of wifi options. Just select the 2.4 the app will prompt you to use that. If you are like me and have an updater router that only has one option there is an option to switch pairing mode from EZ mode to AP mode. AP MODE will allow you to connect your phone to the devices wifi signal. The signal won't be strong so you may get a notification that say to switch to your regular wifi just select stay connected and as soon as you go back to the app it will start pairing.Like I said I have installed a bunch of these over time and paired them all with my Alexa devices.. These switches are an affordable price and they work just as well as the lutron. P.S I would not use them for fan switches use switches that are designated for fan use.. Hope this helps.

They work great for dusk and dawn or turn on via WiFi from anywhere

Installing these ended up being more difficult then I imagined. The pig tail wires were way to short and the gauge wire was to small. It would slip out of the connection on the switch and slip out of the wire nut that attached all the neutral wires. The pig tail wires being so short it made it difficult to work in the light switch box I was attaching to. I went out and got a heavy gauge wire and a larger wire nut and it went way more easy.

The switches don't fit with the existing 3 switch cover panel. Is there a way to buy a 3 switch cover panel?

I purchased this to replace the original rocker switches and to eliminate the use of the limited SwitchMate device. SwitchMate is good but you can’t communicate with it outside of your home’s Wi-Fi network. So if I want to turn on the outdoor lights while away I couldn’t.I needed more control. I found this switch set.Do NOT get this unless you are a technician or can get a technician to do the install. This is not for the novice. The included instructions are not enough and the included wires are not of the needed size. I tried to install myself but after 2 days of trial and error I ended up calling an electrician, watching him I realized that it over my head. It required my tech to use additional wires on the ground and the neutral just to connect those, the line (power) was kept on the middle original switch and from there shared to the load on the 2 new switches. You really have to know what you’re doing it not as simple as, take that wire put it here, and take that wire and put it there.Wires had to be added to extend reach, good grade (20g) not the cheap ones in the box (DON’T USE THOSE).I had 2 days of frustration and he installed it in about 2 hours but even he had a time with the wires and getting everything squeezed into the junction box. I also found out that nothing in that particular box was grounded. A layperson would have never seen or rectified that. My future project now will be to check all the other switches in the house to make sure that they have a negative wire attached.Connecting to the existing SmartLife app was simple. Now I can control the outside lights at will. The best part of 2020.See pics (yes, I label everything - helps guests use the correct switch w/o having to guess). Used two in the front and one in the back.2 week update: still working great, absolutely no problems. They follow the schedule I made for them, turning on and off. The Smart switches do need some effort to install the wiring. Installing on my phone was easy; But I had to switch my Wi-Fi to 4.5 G. And I had to remember my password. But it works great. No more trying to program my outdoor switch timer

I bought this for a block heater so I don't have a pigtail hanging from the plug and I wanted to be able to easily adjust the schedule based on what my work schedule was. I set it up in the house and it worked fine. I installed it at the end of our driveway ~300' and it picked up the WiFi with no issues. I really like that you can control each plug independently, that way I can have on on the timer and one constantly on, or have it set up for two vehicles. Great product! Note that the waterproof cover (not included) sits out a bit because of the plug design. I'll caulk that to keep things dry.

Switch works great, only been installed for a few days but all good. Easy to get operational but a tight fit in my small electrical boxes.

Installation was simple, app setup is easy, operation was just as easy. Less than 5 minutes beginning to end, works exactly as described!

Works well and easy to set up and automate with the Tuya or Smart life app. Can be paired with other smart switches and products to automate your lighting needs. You can even use the pairing to connect two lights that are not even on the same circuit if you want so they both turn on/off when the switch is pressed. Only drawback is it seems to show up twice in Alexa app so it can be confusing to determine what switch is for what if you've installed multiple smart products.
