Compustar T11/T12 2-Way LCD Replacement Remote with 3-Miles Range

TLDR: The remote arrived, it looks just like my old original one, it was super easy to program and works perfectly. Customer service was amazing. Longer version: I ordered this remote and got shipping confirmation and the initial location update from USPS within 2 days. But then the package was lost. I waited about 5 weeks and finally reached out to the seller. The seller responded the next morning and refunded my money. Days later the package showed up at my door. I reached out to the seller and they walked me through the process to get them payment since I wanted to keep the remote start (and they offered to send me a return label if I no longer wanted the remote). All communication was very quick, friendly, and helpful. As for the remote itself, it is exactly like the original one. It came fully charged and was very easy to program with my truck. I'm excited to have my long-range remote start working again!

After 2-1/2 months works like it should! This is a two way communication key fob and will work with ANT-2WDSS antenna (also purchased on Amazon). When I received this key I thought it was a knock off because packaging was not even close to the original nice store boxes. I still decided to go with it because remote it self had a good feel and a weight to it. Best Buy installed their model:RS1B-DC3 Compustar kit (wait until it goes on sale), my antenna and this key fob all at once for their regular installation fee. Make sure you ask to program for a rear defrost to turn on, when vehicle temp is at 32F or below. Do that even if your car doesn’t have a thermometer, the Compustar modular has its own. The key will also give you a battery and a temp reading on the display no extra programming needed. Key fob has a rechargeable battery, in my 2-1/2 month 4+ times everyday usage it was charged three times counting the initial charge. Going this route I saved about $250, plus non of the car stereo stores had this key fob to offer. Note: best buy will uninstall their compustar modular at no extra charge.

Easy to program and works just like the original. Doesn't come with the protective glass shield the original did, but the auto shop wanted almost $400 for the remote. They claimed it was because of the "programming" (Turning the car on and off 5 times fast) and the lifetime warranty. One caveat though. I have both FOBs and only one is connected at a time. So the last one used will be the only one that is notified if the alarm goes off. You can lock/unlock/remote start on either, but the other FOB will not update unless a key is manually pressed and it reconnects.

BUYER BEWARE: Came open box, not in original packaging and NO way to charge it!!!!!

It the Size of a Volkswagen key fob it's pretty big. The battery compared to the small single option running CR2025 battery runs out quicker then the CR2025 key fob but it's rechargeable & charges pretty quick. I bought the oem leather case to protect it on ebay I kept it due to its distance it can reach which is much further then the smaller units & when there is no cell service it comes in handy its just convenient as well.

Delivery was fast. It was super easy to set up and was paired within 5 minutes of opening the box. Looks exactly like my original remote. This was a great purchase.

The item was confirmed to work based on my research, but even though the seller noted that it would not work on my car starter antenna frequency (older COMPUSTAR 25-SS-ANT), I missed that in the description. The seller promptly accepted the return after I discovered it would not work with my system. MY BAD!
