Use them everyday
I use these filters daily. They are made by Kalita and fit perfectly in the Kalita Wave. I have never had any issues with breakage or flow rates. The packaging options allow me buy enough to keep repurchase rates to 2-3 per year based on usage. I prefer the Kalita filters because I know they fit.

They fit the OXO 8 cup coffee maker, SKU 8718800.They are not as thick as the OXO branded ones but they do the trick and are cheaper.

Quality Filters
I made a price per filter comparison when I purchased through Amazon. The two 100-filter pack had the best per unit price, but you should do a calculation before purchasing. These filters are pretty thick and high quality. Produces a great cup coffee with the Kalita Wave 185. The thick material slows down the coffee bean extraction process perfectly. No concern about the filter tearing: it stays stable when I pick it out of the wave and throw it into my compost bin post brewing. There are no sediments in my coffee using these filters- they work well down to a fine grind size. I may try the brown filters at some point to minimize ingested chemicals, but I'm fine with the bleached variety at the moment.I do notice that the flow rate at the beginning of the brew is faster than at the end. Maybe the paper filter is getting clogged, or maybe the wet coffee grind is condensing. I'm not sure it's even a problem; it's just an observation that I haven't seen with other thinner filters.I haven't tried competitor filters with my Kalita Wave and I'm OK using these proprietary filters. At 7 to 8-cents per filter, I'm satisfied with the price and ease of purchasing through Amazon. My experience with Melitta filters with drip coffee makers is that they tear sometimes and they let the water filter through it too fast.
