Works awesome for filling deviled eggs! It's small so you have to refill after about 8 eggs, but it's easy enough to do. Easy to clean. A game changer from the messy Ziploc bag method. Love it!

Pros: Easy to use and control for precise decorating. Comes with multiple tips for different designs and textures. Works for both sweet and savory recipes. Cons: None so far — it’s performed perfectly for my needs. Usage Details: Even though this is marketed for cupcakes, I’ve already found multiple uses for it. I’ve piped whipped cream beautifully onto a mousse cake and used it to neatly fill deviled eggs — both with excellent results. The stainless steel and plastic parts are sturdy and easy to clean, and the interchangeable tips make it adaptable for different presentation styles. Recommendation: This isn’t just for bakers — it’s a handy, multi-purpose decorating tool for anyone who likes to make food look as good as it tastes. I ordered this last year after making a batch of deviled eggs. It was one of those “I’m sure there’s a tool for this that can make my life easier” purchases. Lol little did I know. I only make deviled eggs a couple times a year so here we are on Memorial Day weekend & I remembered I bought this so I was excited to break it out & use it for the first time. Not so excited when I ended up with a worse mess then I would have had by putting the egg filling into a ziploc bag & cutting a hole to pipe it through. The cylinder is so small I had to refill it probably 5 times (for one tray of 24 eggs) & you practically need a butter knife to fill it little by little in order to get it to go down in & not have it squashing out all over the place. I spent more time cleaning egg mess off my hands then I did filling them. As far as getting a pretty end result with the zig zag tip, there wasn’t much of that either. For less than $10 I’m sure it’s a nice little tool for something, just not large quantities of anything & especially not eggs. Lol.

I used it to fill deviled eggs. It worked great. On the second batch it was harder to push the egg yolk mixture through. Perhaps the mixture was not smooth enough and had some lumps.

I'm so happy with this, I have used the bag type icing sets, but they take skill and cleaning I don't find convenient. This one was easy the first use for deviled eggs and has several different accessories included. (if doing deviled eggs)Be sure to keep it slightly moistened either with mayo or you could just use a teaspoon or two of water. I was so pleased that my usual messy eggs were actually uniform and pretty. Some relish got stuck, and I had to pull it out but it wasn't much of an issue. It is easy to wash, I rinsed the parts right after and used a bit of soap and it was done in a minute. Very pleased with this little device, it is small and I put it with the accessories in a sandwich bag. I will use this for other recipes as well.

I mainly need this decoration set for making cakes and cupcakes, where I want precision frosting placement. Despite the product description, only a little of this is actually 'stainless steel', namely the plunger rod; the rest is plain plastic. It comes with a decent variety of tips and is easy to assemble. I do like the grip and should have no difficulty decorating with it. My chief complaint is the packaging: The box was barely sealed and during shipping, it deformed, opened, and the tips all spilled out into the shipping container. They completely missed a bet in not putting the tips into a plastic bag or small box—or as I did, which was to unscrew the top of the injector device and deposited all the tips inside! That way they won't get lost. Overall though, I'd say this is one of those 'you get what you paid for' situations. Still, it should do what I need it to do.

I love this thing! I use it for deviled eggs though. It works so good and my eggs look like artwork!
